Harbor is receiving buffs and Reyna is getting weaker in the latest VALORANT update, Patch 12.02. You can find a complete list of changes to both agents, and all other update details, below.
The new VALORANT update, version 12.02, will be released worldwide on February 4, 2026. The specific time the update goes live and any server interruptions will vary depending on your region.
VALORANT Patch Notes 12.02
Okay, so this new patch is mostly about Harbor and Reyna! Seriously, the updates to them are huge – they basically are the patch. It feels like everything else is pretty minor compared to the changes they got.
Harbor buffs
We’re planning to make Harbor a bit stronger overall. We want to boost the effectiveness of his abilities and give him more versatile options, whether it’s keeping his Cove active longer, expanding the area covered by High Tide, or improving how he uses Reckoning. Ultimately, we want players to feel reliable and strategic when choosing Harbor.
— Dev note
- Cove
- Cooldown decreased 40s >> 30s
- Smoke duration increased from 15s >>> 19.25s
- Health increased from 500 to 625
- Harbor now re-equips his gun faster after activating Cove
- Storm Surge
- Storm Surge now plays audio in world if enemies are hit
- High Tide
- Wall height increases from 6m >> 8m
- Max wall length increased from 50m to 60m
- Reckoning
- Wave speed increased by 25%
- Can now re-use the ultimate to stop it in place for 7s.
You’ll likely encounter Harbor more often in matches, particularly if the enemy team has an aggressive Controller player. Keep in mind that Harbor can deploy his abilities more quickly now thanks to Cove, and his Storm Surge ultimate now provides valuable information about enemy locations.
Reyna nerfs
Reyna has consistently been a popular and strong choice in ranked matches. We want to make it so players need to be more deliberate with her abilities after getting a kill, to reward continued offensive play.
—Dev note
- Soul Orbs (Passive)
- Duration in world decreased from 4s >> 3s
- *The ability description had incorrectly listed the duration at 3s, while they were lasting 4s. The duration now accurately matches the description.
- Duration in world decreased from 4s >> 3s
- Devour
- Overheal applied by Devour is now temporary and lasts 10s
- Healing applied while in Empress is still permanent
- Empress
- Ult points increased 6 >> 7
This change likely won’t prevent Reyna players from still being very strong, but it should make her easier to defeat and reduce how often she can use her ultimate ability, giving opponents a slightly better chance.
Other changes in VALORANT Patch 12.02
The following utilities can now be concussed:
- Gekko’s Wingman
- Skye’s Seekers
- Raze’s Boom Bot
You’ll now see damage indicators on objects players are controlling, such as Skye’s Trailblazer and Tejo’s Stealth Drone, when those objects take damage.
VALORANT Update 12.02 is now live, and it includes fixes for many bugs on both PC and console. You can find a complete list of the changes on the official VALORANT website.
