The upcoming Netflix film Walk the Blue Fields, starring Emily Blunt and Andrew Scott, has added cast members from the popular series Happy Valley and Slow Horses. The movie is based on a short story by Claire Keegan, originally published in 2007, and is looking promising.
Directed by John Crowley, the movie centers around a woman grappling with a life-changing choice on her wedding day. As she prepares to marry, secrets from her past emerge, revealing a complicated love triangle.
Netflix has announced that Mark Stanley and Ruth Bradley are now part of the cast. Stanley, known for his role as Rob Hepworth in season three of Happy Valley, recently appeared in Adolescence and Under Salt Marsh.
Rosalind Bradley is widely recognized for her role as Emma Flyte in seasons four and five of the popular Apple TV spy series, Slow Horses. Prior to that, she appeared in recurring roles on Ted Lasso and The Gold.
Emily Blunt and Thomas Scott are joined by a talented cast including Ciarán Hinds, Tom Cullen, Carrie Crowley, Naoise Dunbar, Jane Brennan, and Bríd Brennan.

John Crowley, the director of highly praised films like We Live in Time and the Academy Award-nominated Brooklyn, will direct this project. The screenplay is written by Irish playwright Conor McPherson.

Denis O’Sullivan of Compelling Pictures shared his excitement about working with Emily again, recalling their time together on The Young Victoria and fondly remembering their late friend, Jean-Marc Vallée.
