Gracie Abrams posted sweet and personal photos to Instagram celebrating her boyfriend, actor Paul Mescal, turning 30.
The singer, known for her song “That’s So True,” recently shared photos on Instagram of the actor she’s been dating since 2024. The singer is 26 years old and the daughter of director JJ Abrams.
It appears Timothée Chalamet’s partner, Kylie Mescal, was born on the same day as J.J. Abrams’ childhood friend, Clementine. The social media post honored both of these important people in Abrams’ life.
She shared a photo with the caption: ‘P❤️ Clemmy❤️ You complete my heart! I love February 2nd… Happy birthday!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️’
‘I love you both more than words could ever describe. Thank you for making everything better.’
Included in the gallery were photos of Mescal and Abrams kissing including in a photobooth.
There was another romantic snap of the two sharing an intimate moment during a candle-lit dinner.
This news follows a recent announcement by Mescal that he intends to take a step back from work to focus on his personal life and relationships, including his partner, Abrams.
The popular Irish actor, currently filming a movie about The Beatles where he portrays Paul McCartney, recently discussed how his priorities have changed now that he’s turned 30.
The actor, known for their role in ‘Hamnet,’ shared on GQ’s ’21 Questions to Fall in Love’ YouTube series that they’ve found a comfortable work pace over the last seven years, starting around age 23 and continuing as they approach 30.
I’m starting to prioritize things that really matter to me, like spending quality time with my family, partner, and friends, and I’m naturally wanting to focus on those things more.
The actor, who usually keeps his relationship with singer Abrams private, went on to say, ‘Until now, I’ve always been focused on my work and haven’t really wanted to be anywhere else.’
‘And now I do have a desire to not spend my time necessarily in a rehearsal room or on set.’
Since graduating from The Lir Academy in Dublin in 2017, Mescal has been working consistently, leaving him with few opportunities for long breaks.
He said: ‘I’ve had six weeks [off work], but it’s always been in preparation for another job.
The longest I’ve ever been able to take off work was around eight or nine weeks. I’d usually spend the first three weeks recovering, and then the following six weeks getting ready for my next project.
The actor, known for his role in Normal People, said he’s dreaming of a long backpacking trip through South America. He and a friend are even planning to take six weeks off to make it happen.
He also revealed that his time with Abrams in the US last summer sparked a new and unexpected interest.
He’s a big Boston Red Sox fan now, and he says it’s thanks to a relationship he has with someone connected to the team, not because of his Irish-Boston background.
He explained that he’s become a big baseball fan. He recently went to his first major league game – at Fenway Park – and now follows the Red Sox closely, even checking highlights on his phone each morning.
Paul recently shared that he wants to focus more on his personal relationships, following a previous statement to Rolling Stone where he expressed his desire to become a father someday.
He mentioned wanting a family someday, but wasn’t in a rush. He said he’d love to have children, but didn’t need it to happen immediately.
Abrams and Mescal have been a couple for about two years. They were first seen together in public in June 2024, enjoying a romantic date at BRAT Restaurant in London.
The couple first appeared together publicly at the premiere of ‘History of Sound’ last June. Since then, they’ve been seen at various festivals and have been supportive of each other’s work.
Even though Paul and his partner have been openly showing their affection, he’s very careful about keeping his personal life private. He explained last October that he values his privacy greatly, saying, ‘I really cherish the little private time I have and don’t want to share it with the public.’
