Gordon Ramsay shows off brand new £1m Aston Martin Valhalla yet awkwardly doesn’t know how to open door – leaving wife Tana stuck inside as he asks to see car’s manual

On Monday, Gordon Ramsay was seen driving his new £1 million Aston Martin Valhalla around London with his wife, Tana, offering a glimpse of his luxurious lifestyle.

The famous chef, age 59, recently featured in a new Netflix documentary, was one of the first to receive the highly anticipated supercar, despite some delivery delays. However, he seemed to be having some difficulty learning how to drive it.

Gordon arrived at the luxurious Savoy Hotel in a British car, but he couldn’t figure out how to open the door, which didn’t have traditional handles. He ended up asking Freddie Atkins, the photographer and car expert filming him, ‘Where’s the manual?’

Oh my gosh, you would NOT believe it! Tana was just sitting there, ready to go, and the chef – can you even imagine?! – was totally struggling with the car door! It was one of those fancy, high-end cars, and he clearly wasn’t used to it. He was fumbling around, and at one point actually knocked on the window to ask his wife how to open it! It was hilarious, but also… a little chaotic. I was dying!

After quickly recovering from the awkward situation, the kind star greeted Freddie and also shook hands with the doormen at the famous London building.

Okay, so Adrian Newey – the Adrian Newey, honestly a genius – designed this new car, and they’re calling it ‘the son of the Valkyrie’! Can you believe it? It’s got this incredible V8 engine, but it’s not just that, they’ve added three electric motors to help it! It’s going to be absolutely insane, I just know it.

The Aston Martin Valhalla is the company’s first hybrid car, boasting a powerful 1,064 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph.

Gordon recently had an uncomfortable public appearance following his disclosure that his son-in-law, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, calls him “dad,” despite Peaty’s own strained relationship with his biological parents.

Adam and Holly, the eldest daughter of a well-known TV chef, were married in December. However, their wedding at the historic Bath Abbey was marked by family drama, and Adam’s mother, Caroline, wasn’t allowed to attend.

In November, reports surfaced of a disagreement between Adam, his wife Caroline, and the family of the gold medalist. Caroline claimed the family was trying to distance her from her son.

Gordon was also criticized for using his wedding speech to negatively comment on both Caroline’s father and Mark Peaty, who was unable to attend the wedding.

The famous chef says he feels like he’s gained a son, not lost a daughter, through this experience.

He shared with Gaby Roslin’s podcast, Reasons To Be Joyful, that his son now refers to him as ‘dad.’ The son recently texted him, asking what he was up to and if he’d be available later, using the same affectionate term.

It was amazing! Such a lovely couple – truly a dream to work with for Tana and me. When asked if he cried at the wedding, Ramsay joked that he hadn’t, pointing to the incredibly high cost of the flowers.

The aisle felt incredibly long at sixty-three meters, and I still don’t understand why Holly insisted on decorating every pew with beautiful carnations. Thankfully, all the flowers were donated to a hospice and the local hospital the very next day.

I remember being in the car with my daughter, and she squeezed my hand and said, “Dad, it’s time.” My immediate reaction was, “Oh no.”

He explained that sometimes you get really excited about something, then suddenly become nervous and back out. When he arrived at the church, he found Adam crying uncontrollably, as if he’d just finished swimming.

I’m really moved right now. It’s been an incredible day, especially after such a wonderful morning. It feels like I’ve gained a new son, and while it’s bittersweet, it’s a truly amazing experience, not just a goodbye to Holly.
