Good Omens reveals first look at new characters for the show’s big finale

Fans of Good Omens are getting a sneak peek at the show’s final episode, which is coming next month. The fantasy series will end with a single, action-packed episode lasting 90 minutes.

Picking up right after the end of season two, the new installment finds angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) embarking on what’s promised to be their biggest and most meaningful adventure so far. However, their friendship is strained because Aziraphale has chosen to go back to Heaven without Crowley.

According to the story summary, Aziraphale, recently promoted to Supreme Archangel, is in charge of the Second Coming. This is a huge job that stresses him out, especially when his approach worries other angels.

“Meanwhile, heartbroken Crowley finds himself at rock bottom, wandering the streets of Soho.”

The latest trailer shows Crowley pleading with Aziraphale to stay together, emphasizing their bond and declaring they don’t need anyone else – not Heaven, not Hell – just each other.

So, things didn’t exactly go smoothly. The angel had to break the news pretty carefully before starting his new job in Heaven, and honestly, getting everyone else to agree with his plans was a real headache. While Aziraphale was fumbling around trying to sort out this whole ‘Second Coming’ thing, everything else was just…falling apart. It was a mess, to be honest, like a really frustrating level in a game where nothing’s going right.

The story introduces Jesus, who unexpectedly comes to Earth. While it’s not certain if his arrival is the source of the widespread chaos, Aziraphale and Crowley find themselves teamed up once more, tasked with saving the world.

With the universe at stake, Aziraphale and Crowley are forced to examine their connection, address past hurts, and rebuild their friendship, according to the story’s description.

Whether battling London criminals or stopping demonic forces, this group confronts difficult choices, personal heartbreak, and their own inner struggles. Ultimately, they have to decide if their bond with each other – and the fate of the world – is worth fighting for.

The third season of the show premieres on Prime Video on May 13th. Doon Mackichan, Gloria Obianyo, Liz Carr, Paul Chahidi, Quelin Sepulveda, and Sir Derek Jacobi will all return as their respective characters for this final season.

Bilal Hasna will play Jesus in the upcoming film, and Toby Jones makes a brief appearance in a currently unknown role.

Good Omens season 3 arrives on Prime Video on 13 May.
