The next major update for Genshin Impact, Version 6.6 – titled “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana” – will be released on May 20, 2026. This update introduces Nicole and Lohen as playable characters and features a brand new Archon Quest.

Update 6.6 will feature two new story quests set in Sumeru, where you’ll battle Dottore again. Defeating him will unlock his second weekly boss challenge. Completing these quests will reward you with 560 Primogems and other useful in-game items.

Phantasmal Pals (Main Event)

The event is happening in Mondstadt, and you’ll be helping Klee and four of her friends. As a reward for completing it, you’ll get a 4-star Claymore weapon, 910 Primogems, and other useful items, all for free!

Trials of the Brave Warrior (Mini Event)

This is a battle challenge where you’ll earn 420 Primogems and other useful items by defeating opponents.

Kaleidoscopic Color Chase (Mini Event)

This is the second small in-game event, and completing it will reward players with 420 Primogems and other useful items.

Nicole: 5-Star Pyro Catalyst

Nicole is a brand-new 5-star character in Genshin Impact who uses a Catalyst and specializes in Pyro. She’s designed to be a strong support for teams focused on Hexerei, boosting their attack power and providing a powerful Pyro shield. Lohen: 5-Star Cryo Polearm

Okay, so I’m super excited about Lohen! He’s a 5-Star character who uses a polearm and deals Cryo damage. Basically, he’s a damage dealer you’ll want to have on the field, and he’s amazing in teams that focus on the Melt reaction. What’s really cool is how his attacks turn Cryo thanks to his ‘Will to Win’ ability. If you’re planning to pull for him, I’d definitely check out a pre-farm guide to get ready!

Prune: 4-Star Anemo Catalyst

Prune is a powerful character in Genshin Impact who uses an Anemo Catalyst. She’s a strong support character, dealing damage from the sidelines and effectively creating Swirl reactions.

Reruns

Nicole will be featured in the first character banner, along with a return of Durin. Then, in the second phase, Lohen will make their debut alongside a rerun of Mavuika.

Snezhnaya teaser

I was so hyped during the Genshin Impact 6.6 Special Program! They dropped a quick, 30-second peek at Snezhnaya, and the biggest surprise for me was seeing the Traveler in a totally new outfit – and holding a gun that shoots Cryo bullets! It looked amazing.

Okay, so the Traveler’s new outfit is a huge step up from the original! It’s way more detailed – think thicker clothes with a really cozy, fur-lined feel. The colors are much darker and richer, and honestly, it just looks more regal, fitting for the Tsaritsa’s nation. It really feels like I’m dressing the part now!
