Gemma Atkinson speaks out on pregnancy rumours as she insists ‘I would be in a massive panic’ if she was expecting third baby

Gemma Atkinson addressed speculation about a possible third pregnancy, stating she’d be very worried if she were pregnant.

Former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson, 41, and her partner, Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez, 35, have two children together: Mia, age six, and Thiago, age three.

During her Hits Radio show on Tuesday, her colleague Mike Toolan playfully expressed his disappointment that she had shared the news with everyone else before telling him.

Gemma chuckled and denied the pregnancy rumors, saying, ‘Actually, I wouldn’t want to say I was pregnant – I’d be incredibly worried!’

People keep thinking I’m pregnant, which is definitely not true! It’s a funny thought – picturing me with a six-year-old, a two-year-old, a puppy, and a baby on the way – but it’s just a misunderstanding.

‘I can hand on heart say I’m not with child…’

This happened after Gemma posted a screenshot of the fake post to her Instagram Story, which initially caused the rumors to spread.

She shared a post saying it was ironic that she was reading pregnancy news while currently on her period, and on the fourth day of a very heavy one at that.

Gemma and Gorka first connected in 2017 while working on Strictly Come Dancing, although they weren’t dance partners on the show.

They quickly fell in love and started dating in 2018, then got engaged in February 2021.

Gemma shared that she and her partner are planning to postpone their wedding until their son is older, so he can be involved in the celebration.

She told the Daily Express they’ve considered a few options for the wedding. They’ve talked about having it in Spain so his family could attend, or a small, private ceremony at a registry office or hotel in Manchester, followed by a larger celebration later.

We’re planning to wait until Thiago is a little older before moving forward, probably next year or the year after, since he’s only two years old right now.

‘If he’s a bit older, he could be involved in it, which would be really nice.’

In 2022, Gemma explained that she and Gorka had put off their wedding because they were both so busy. She’d previously mentioned she’d prefer to focus on having another baby instead of planning an elaborate wedding.

She shared with New magazine that Gorka is constantly traveling for work this year, leaving them with only four days together.

Honestly, it’s been a whirlwind! He’s just finished two Strictly Come Dancing tours one right after the other, and now he’s gearing up to be on the show this fall. It’s so exciting, but truthfully, we haven’t even had a moment to breathe, let alone start planning for everything!

Oh my gosh, they’ve definitely had their challenges, but honestly, it was SO stressful last year! When Gorka was stuck over there with Strictly even after they eliminated him – can you believe it, six whole weeks?! It was a really tough time for them, a real rough patch, seeing him separated like that when they were already dealing with everything else. I was seriously worried!

Oh my goodness, you guys, it’s HAPPENING! He’s going to be a judge on the Spanish ‘Dancing with the Stars’ – ‘Bailando con las Estrellas’! I can barely breathe! This means he’ll be spending SO much time in Madrid for filming, which… well, let’s just say I’m suddenly very interested in learning Spanish and booking flights. I’m absolutely losing it – I need to find out everything about the show and Madrid immediately! This is the best news ever!
