First clip from Alice Lowe’s Timestalker with Sex Education’s Tanya Reynolds
As a seasoned film enthusiast who’s been around the block more times than I care to remember, let me tell you this – the first clip from Timestalker has left me absolutely spellbound! Alice Lowe, with her unique storytelling and quirky humor, is undoubtedly a daring filmmaker whose voice deserves not just a megaphone but a bullhorn!
We’ve got an exclusive first clip from Timestalker, set to be one of the most unique British movies of the year.
Prior to its debut at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this coming Saturday (August 17th), a sneak peek of Alice Lowe’s latest film as both writer and director has been released, offering a glimpse into its unique humor, showcasing a recurring joke involving a dildo and an extremely fluffy pink cat.
In every era, Timestalker witnesses Lowe portraying Agnes, a woman who perpetually eludes a contented conclusion to her life story, all while pursuing her eternal lover through countless lifetimes.
Take a look at the initial scene from the film “Timestalker” showcasing one of the characters portrayed by Tanya Reynolds, who is known for her role in “Sex Education“. This is during the romantic comedy set in different eras.
Tonight, I’m thrilled to be part of the crowd witnessing the European debut of Timestalker right here in the Piazza Grande at Locarno!
After making its first appearance at SXSW in March 2024, the movie Timestalker opened to a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Initial critiques lauded Lowe as a “bold director whose unique style merits amplification,” with the film “delighting in flipping romance genre conventions while showcasing meticulous craftsmanship.”
At the moment this text is being written, it continues to hold a flawless rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film is set to hit screens in both the United Kingdom and Ireland on October 18, having premiered earlier at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to my watchlist: “Timestalker.” This thrilling flick boasts an impressive cast that includes Jacob Anderson, Aneurin Barnard, Nick Frost, and Kate Dickie. Notably, it’s the second movie where Steve Oram, the director, showcases his exceptional skills as both a writer and director, following the critically acclaimed 2016 slasher “Prevenge.” I can hardly wait to witness the magic he weaves on the silver screen once again!
If you’re eager to catch a glimpse of Tanya Reynolds before October, you can already find her in the darkly humorous Netflix series titled The Decameron.
The film “Timestalker” will make its debut in the United Kingdom at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on August 17th. The movie is set to hit cinema screens across the UK and Ireland on October 18th.
