- With this system you can use Star Shards to sign players of choice.
- Shards earned through player releases, events, quests, and store offers.
Now that the PlayStyles feature has been announced for FC Mobile, it appears another update is on the way: a system called Star Signings. Early information about this new feature has begun to surface, and it looks like a promising addition to the game. Here’s why I think so.
This feature could mark the return of the event shards in FC Mobile
It looks like the new system will focus on something called Star Shards. These shards will let you sign players directly, rather than only using packs or the draft. This information comes from MadridistaaFC, a source who’s been accurate with FC Mobile leaks before, so it’s likely to be true or a serious possibility.
New System: Star Signings

Here’s how this new system works: it will have its own dedicated menu and currency. You can earn Star Shards by letting go of club members, finishing events and quests, or by making purchases in the store.
After collecting enough shards, you can select a player from the player list and sign them immediately. The game also lets you add players to a watchlist for signing at a later time.
This new system feels a lot like the old event shard system, but with a key difference. Instead of earning shards separately for each event over time, everything now contributes to a single, unified currency.
Many players disliked the change from the old shard system. They appreciated that it offered a clear path to acquiring better players, even if you weren’t consistently at the top. The current draft system feels more reliant on chance, which some find frustrating.
However, the previous system wasn’t ideal. It encouraged players to buy more packs, and became increasingly expensive over time. Despite its flaws, it did offer a reliable way to get what you wanted, which is something a lot of players are now looking for.
Currently, this is just speculation or a fan idea, and hasn’t been officially confirmed. However, with the upcoming PlayStyles feature, it’s likely that similar improvements are planned for future updates to enhance the FC Mobile experience.
