The hit musical drama Daisy Jones & The Six, starring Sam Claflin and Riley Keough, is coming to ITVX in the UK. It’s a show you definitely won’t want to skip!
The show debuted on Prime Video in 2023 and quickly became a worldwide hit. Forbes reported that it reached the top of both television and music charts within just one day of being released.
Based on the popular novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Daisy Jones & The Six tells the story of a famous 1970s rock band – their incredible climb to fame and their dramatic breakup.

The story unfolds like a documentary, featuring interviews with the band members looking back on their career, especially their last concert. We see their past come to life through flashbacks that reveal what happened.
The series sparks with the connection between singers Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin). Their complicated relationship forms the heart of the story, becoming a love triangle since Billy is married to Camila (played brilliantly by Camila Morrone, who also starred in the Netflix hit Something Very Bad is Going to Happen).

Beyond its fantastic 1970s style, the show features a remarkable soundtrack created by a made-up band. The soundtrack was released as an album, with Riley Keough and Sam Claflin sharing lead vocal duties. In 2024, it received a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, but ultimately lost to the Barbie soundtrack.

The cast of Daisy Jones & the Six also features Suki Waterhouse, Will Harrison (known for Manhunt), Josh Whitehouse (Poldark), and Nabiyah Be (Black Panther). Timothy Olyphant (Fargo) also makes an appearance in the show.

Daisy Jones and the Six will arrive to ITVX on 7 June, as part of the platform’s summer schedule.
The show has received positive reviews, currently holding a fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. When it was released, Screen Rant praised it, saying it “hits the spot” with great acting, catchy music, and just the right amount of emotional drama.
Critics have described Daisy Jones & The Six as a vibrant mix of captivating performances, memorable music, and stylish costumes, though some found the depiction of the rock stars’ personal lives surprisingly restrained. Entertainment Weekly noted the show begins with a comedic tone, evolves into something surprisingly meaningful, and ultimately ends on a very emotional, almost overly sentimental, note – so much so that it brought tears to their eyes.
