Jamie Campbell Bower, known for his role in Stranger Things, will appear in season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. The Prime Video series returns on November 11th, with Bower joining the cast as a new addition.
Jamie Campbell Bower, famous for playing the villain Vecna in Stranger Things, officially joined the cast last year. His character’s identity remained a secret—until recently.
As reported by Empire Magazine, actor Robert Aramayo will portray Celeborn, the Elven lord, warrior, and husband of Galadriel (played by Morfydd Clark).

According to established Lord of the Rings lore, Celeborn and Galadriel have been married since the First Age. Marton Csokas portrayed Celeborn in Peter Jackson’s films. However, the new series, Rings of Power, depicts the couple as having been separated for hundreds of years.
So, the developers told me Celeborn’s going to be a bit of a romantic, a real ‘lover-boy’ type. Apparently, the way he and Galadriel interact is inspired by the real-life relationship between J.R.R. Tolkien and his wife, Edith – they’re trying to capture that same kind of connection in the game.

He explained that the theme of longing is central to Tolkien’s relationship with his wife, Edith, particularly during their times apart. He was fascinated by this idea and explored it through the character of Celeborn, who endures hardship while deeply missing a beloved person.
Clark mentioned that Galadriel came across as a bit rude to him in the books, but noted, “She is a queen!” He also said Jamie really embodies his vision of Celeborn, adding, “He truly looks like an Elf.”

David Bower was the standout choice for the role, according to showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, who explained to Empire what made him ideal. Payne described Bower as having a voice that is “rich, hypnotic, and resonant, like it holds ancient wisdom.”
We did a chemistry test with Clark, and it was immediately clear how much he connected with the character. It felt completely natural, genuine, and like a perfect fit.
The show Rings of Power jumps forward in time to a period when elves and Sauron are locked in a major war. Sauron is attempting to forge the One Ring, hoping it will give him the power to finally win the conflict and take control of Middle-earth.
