Evil Dead Burn Debuts Gnarly Teaser, Evil Dead Wrath Sets Release Window

As a huge Evil Dead fan, I was blown away by what Warner Bros. showed at CinemaCon! They dropped a seriously intense preview of ‘Evil Dead Burn’ – it looks absolutely terrifying. But the biggest news? They officially announced a release window for ‘Evil Dead Wrath‘! This is the first time ever we’re getting two Evil Dead movies planned – it’s a dream come true for us fans!

Evil Dead Burn reveals teaser trailer at CinemaCon

At CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Warner Bros. shared the first trailer for the new Evil Dead film, Evil Dead Burn. The preview showed plenty of terrifying scenes, including zombies, chainsaws, gruesome injuries, and lots of blood. The trailer ended with a chilling tagline: “Family is the root of all evil.”

Host Patton Oswalt pointed out that the preview showed unpolished, raw footage. He also mentioned the filmmakers added a particularly unsettling element. The film is directed by Sébastien Vaniček, who previously directed the spider horror film Infested, which premiered at Cannes.

Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, and Luciane Buchanan star in Evil Dead Burn, which hits theaters on July 24, 2026. Warner Bros. will release the film in North America, while StudioCanal handles distribution in the UK and Metropolitan in France. Sony will distribute the film in all other countries internationally.

Evil Dead Wrath gets release date window

Sam Raimi confirmed at CinemaCon that Evil Dead Wrath will arrive in theaters in 2027.

This is the first time ever that two Evil Dead movies will be released back-to-back. The new film is written and directed by Francis Galluppi, following his previous work, The Last Stop in Yuma County.

In a statement to Deadline, director Sam Raimi complimented filmmaker Zach Galluppi, describing him as “a storyteller who understands how to build suspense.” The film features Charlotte Hope, Jessica McNamee, Zach Gilford, and Josh Helman as its main cast, with Ella Newton, Elizabeth Cullen, and newcomer Ella Oliphant also appearing.

Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert produced the film through their company, Ghost House Pictures. Bruce Campbell and Lee Cronin joined as executive producers, along with Romel Adam and Jose Canas. This new installment, Evil Dead Burn, comes after the success of 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, which earned approximately $147 million globally.
