Sapadal Is Killed And Lödwyn Wins
The Steel Garotte Rules The Living Lands
In the game, the most unfavorable outcome can be achieved by treacherously aligning yourself with the Steel Garotte against your fellow companions and the rulers of the Living Lands. During a conversation with Ambassador Hylgard prior to the Siege of Paradis mission, you must express your intention to side with Lödwyn and the Steel Garotte. Consequently, the leaders of the Living Lands will reject you, your allies will abandon you, and you’ll be left to confront Lödwyn by yourself.
first, you must renounce Sapadal three times. After that, you will kneel before her in order for her to formally welcome you into the Steel Garotte. If you haven’t been listening carefully to Lödwyn’s instructions, then she may end up killing you instead of recruiting you.
Given that Woedica perceives Sapadal as a catalyst for turmoil and disarray, it’s understandable why Lödwyn would strive to eliminate all traces of Sapadal within the Living Lands. Even though you have destroyed Sapadal, your godlike status remains, which makes Lödwyn see you as a threat that must be eliminated. The death of the Envoy allows the Steel Garotte to operate without hindrance, and it seems they have instituted a repressive and authoritarian regime over the Living Lands.

Sapadal Is Killed And Lödwyn Is Defeated
The Godlike Rules The Living Lands
Instead of the previous entry, here’s an opportunity for you to truly become part of the Steel Garotte. However, it requires Lödwyn to step down first. This scenario is similar to the one above where you inform Ambassador Hylgard, the leaders of the Living Lands, that you’re aligning with Lödwyn and the Steel Garotte. Once again, you will find yourself facing Lödwyn alone as your companions depart.
During the conversation, make sure to express solidarity with Lödwyn. Three times, deny any allegiance to Sapadal. However, when she asks you to kneel, opt to attack instead. This will trigger a boss fight against Lödwyn. If successful in defeating her, you’ll assume the role of the new leader of the Steel Garotte.
The scene unfolds, revealing that under your command, the Steel Garotte will exert a tighter grasp over the Living Lands. As depicted in this scene, not only will you institute a law mandating exclusive worship of Woedica, but you’ll also depose all current rulers and install loyal followers in their places. However, due to the Steel Garotte being more despised than the Aedyran Empire, should you choose to spare them, the Paradisan Rebels will persist with their uprising. Meanwhile, the youth of Thirdborn express dissatisfaction.
As the seemingly all-powerful ruler of the Living Lands, I can’t help but sense a growing unease, a gnawing paranoia that looms over me due to perceived threats to my life. The destruction of Sapadal has brought a newfound freedom, silencing the relentless whispers of its voice.
I find myself compelled to confess the truth to the inhabitants of these lands, revealing who is behind the Dreamscourge and assuring them that the menace has been vanquished, alleviating its suffering at last.

Sapadal Is Freed And Lödwyn Is Defeated
But The Living Lands Becomes A Colony
Prior to the Siege of Paradis, as previously stated, you’ll be given an opportunity to converse with Ambassador Hylgard and the heads of each significant city on the island. Hylgard will inquire about your thoughts regarding the Living Lands. You are welcome to seek advice from your companions and the leaders, but the final decision rests with you.
Should you opt for the Living Lands to transform into an Aedyran Empire colony, a single governing body will control the island. However, this decision might lead to more complications compared to other options presented. It’s the least favored choice among your allies. Regardless of whether Fior mes Iverno is saved or not, animancers will be compelled to work in secret due to Aedyr’s stance on animancy. The Paradisan Rebels would either cease to exist (if you killed the assassin) or operate covertly instead.
As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this:
If I manage to save Solace Keep and slay Kostya, Mihala takes over and flings open the fortress gates for visitors. At first, life was harmonious between Aedyr and the Pargrunen, but Aedyr’s meddling eventually led to military clashes, causing Mihala to shun the dwarves once more. If I choose to back Kostya and Solace Keep falls, the Councillor heads to Aedyr to plead for his people’s welfare, though a few dwarven souls remain within the keep’s rubble.
In Thirdborn, events follow a pattern similar to the conclusion of the last installment if you opt for Ryngrim’s scheme. On the other hand, should you side with Lödwyn, Shatterscarp continues to endure the torment of Dreamthralls, and the Aedyrans join forces to exterminate them. Yet, there remains a sense of discord between these groups regarding the future once the Dreamthrall problem has been addressed.

Sapadal Is Freed And Lödwyn Is Defeated
The Living Lands Become A Vassal State; You Allowed Sapadal To Use Sargamis’ Statue
If you opt for the “grefram” alternative, the Living Lands will fall under the control of the Aedyran Empire. Some, such as Thirdborn, are pleased with this arrangement because they receive an abundance of goods through trade. Similarly, Solace Keep is ruled by Mihala who complains about receiving goods last, but governs over a generally content populace.
Concerning the Paradis Rebels, because they don’t have faith in Aedyr, they carry on living as outlaws and strive to expel the Empire. If you align with Kostya, he encounters a tough shock when Aedyr persistently asks for more than the dwarves are capable of providing. Additionally, the animancers manage to keep working, albeit at a slow pace due to the interference of Aedyr.
If you grant Sapadal access to Sargamis’ statue ahead of the game, she will utilize it to communicate with the island and its residents directly. This allows her an opportunity to appreciate nature following her confinement and delve into the Living Lands. As per the cutscene, the statue periodically malfunctions, and she seeks assistance from the divine beings for repairs. Over time, however, she learns to repair the statue on her own, thus gaining more freedom.

The Living Lands Are Unified
As a gamer, I find myself at a crossroads presented by Hylgard. Two paths lay before me, one leading to the union of the Living Lands. This path is the sole means for the Living Lands to break free from the clutches of the Aedyran Empire. It’s a united front where all island governments collaborate, drafting codes and laws to ensure harmony. With the Aedyran Empire no longer a threat, the Paradisan Rebels can emerge from the shadows, rejoining society, and lending their support to those in need on their journey back.
In the vibrant city of Fior mes Iverno, as a supporter of its magical arts (animancy), I’m fortunate to explore my abilities freely, accelerating advancements and breakthroughs at an astonishing pace. Should disaster strike and our city perished, I believe the animancers could harmoniously coexist with either Thirdborn or Paradis inhabitants.
Now, let me tell you about Thirdborn – a place where choices matter. If Ryngrim is your pick, most of its citizens venture out to establish new settlements; on the other hand, if Lödwyn is your choice, Thirdborn continues grappling with the Dreamthralls, dealing with their aftermath independently.
For the Pargrunen community, if Solace Keep remains, Mihala will gradually allow visitors into the keep, fostering trade. If Solace Keep is destroyed, Mihala will sink into depression, but her people rally her spirits, and she guides them in constructing a new settlement. Meanwhile, Kostya finds himself amidst the Pargrunen, exploring trade paths as he journeys through their territories.
