ITV has released a sneak peek of Eve Myles starring as detective Annie Cassidy in the upcoming psychological thriller, Gone. The six-episode series, from the writer of The Long Shadow, George Kay, and starring Eve Myles (known for The Crow Girl), centers around a disturbing mystery. The story focuses on Michael Polly, a local headmaster played by David Morrissey, who becomes the main suspect when his wife, Sarah, goes missing.
Michael Polly appears to be a perfect citizen – orderly, precise, and respected. But when he meets the determined and insightful Detective Annie Cassidy (played by Eve Myles), a tense and intriguing game of pursuit begins as she tries to uncover what he’s really hiding.
The mystery hints at something much larger – a story about dealing with past trauma, the difficulties of trusting others, and the long-lasting impact of powerful organizations.

I’m so excited to hear that Myles is joining the cast of Gone! She said she’s really thrilled to be playing Detective Annie Cassidy, and honestly, after hearing that George Kay wrote it, I can totally see why! It sounds like it’s going to be a brilliant drama.
Annie is a compelling and spirited woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind, but she’s facing a real challenge in Michael Polly, who is a powerful opponent.
“It’s wonderful to be directed by Richard Laxton, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it.”

I was so excited to hear that Morrissey, who I loved in Sherwood and The Long Shadow, is working with George Kay again! He also mentioned he’s thrilled to be collaborating for the first time with Eve Myles and Richard Laxton, and honestly, that makes me even more hyped for the project.
Jennifer Macbeth, Clare Higgins, Nicholas Nunn, Oscar Batterham, Elliot Cowan, Rupert Evans, Jodie McNee, Billy Barratt, and Arthur Hughes will also appear in the ITV drama.

The six-episode series draws inspiration from the book To Hunt a Killer, written by former police detective Julie Mackay and ITV crime reporter Robert Murphy, who has covered many of the most significant criminal investigations in the West of England.
Mackay and Murphy are both on board as consultants on the series.
The new drama, Gone, will debut this spring on ITV and STV, and all episodes will also be available to stream on ITVX and STV Player.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color 100-page magazine celebrating Taylor Swift, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
