Just when we thought the party would never end, Friday, June 13th, came along and crashed it. The spot ETH ETFs, which had been the life of the party, decided to take their first net outflow in 20 days. A staggering $2.14 million left the building, and honestly, who can blame it? 😱💔
Rumor has it that the withdrawals were linked to some serious drama between Israel and Iran. Apparently, when the world gets tense, so do our beloved risk assets like crypto and stocks. The Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) was the biggest drama queen, contributing a whopping $8.85 million to the outflow. Talk about a diva! 💅
Meanwhile, Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH) was the only one to show up with a positive net inflow of $6.67 million. But alas, it wasn’t enough to save the day, and the 19-day positive inflow streak came to a rather sad end. 😢
But don’t worry, this little hiccup barely scratched the surface of the Ethereum ETFs’ record over the past week, which still stands at a jaw-dropping $528.12 million. That’s right, five weeks of positive inflows totaling $1.384 billion! Now that’s what I call a comeback! 💪💰

Just like its cousin Bitcoin, Ethereum’s price seems to have a mind of its own, reacting to the whims of ETF investors. You’d think that with all this capital flowing in, the price would be soaring, right? Wrong! During the recent 19-day inflow period, Ethereum’s price was stuck in the $2,500 to $2,600 range. How very unambitious! 🙄
Sure, it flirted with the $2,800 mark on June 12, only to crash back down to $2,500. It’s like watching a soap opera, but with more numbers and less romance.
