As a crypto investor, I’ve been watching Ethereum staking hit an all-time high – over 41 million ETH is now staked, which represents about 34% of the total supply! That’s currently worth around $77.7 billion. However, it’s interesting to note that as more people stake, the rewards are decreasing, down to around 2.62%, and the rate at which new Ether is created through staking has increased slightly to 0.842%.
As a crypto investor, I’m really noticing how much Ethereum is being staked right now – it’s hit an all-time high! Over 41 million ETH is locked up in the network, which is around 34% of all Ether out there. It’s great to see so much participation and confidence in the network.
According to Merlijn The Trader, Ethereum that has been staked is currently valued at around $77.7 billion. But this value has decreased by 40% in the last twelve months.
Even as more people lock up their tokens, the returns for doing so are decreasing. Currently, stakers are earning around 2.62%, which is a drop from the previous rate of 3.05%.
The price of Ethereum is currently around a key level that could signal a rebound, trading at approximately $1,859 on the Bitstamp exchange.
Ethereum Staking Reaches Record Share
Merlijn reports that a record 41.04 million ETH is currently being held in staking. This indicates a significant portion of Ethereum is locked up, even with reduced rewards, suggesting continued confidence from ETH holders.

Around 34% of all Ether is currently staked, which limits how much is available for trading. However, this doesn’t eliminate the risk of sales from liquid staking options or people withdrawing their staked Ether.
Currently, there’s around $77.7 billion worth of Ether (ETH) locked up in staking. However, this amount is down 40% from a year ago, primarily because the price of ETH has decreased.
Rewards Fall as Issuance Moves Higher
Currently, earning rewards by staking Ethereum yields around 2.62%, a decrease from the previous rate of 3.05%. According to Merlijn, this is the lowest return currently available for those who lock up their ETH.
If staking rewards decrease, investors might reconsider if it’s the best way to earn returns compared to other options. While some people will keep staking simply to support the network, others will weigh the potential profits against how easily they can access their funds and the risks of the market.
The rate at which new Ethereum (ETH) is created has risen slightly, from 0.757% to 0.842%. This creation happens as rewards are given out on the network. Investors interested in understanding how much ETH is available will want to note this change.

ETH Price Holds Near Support
Ethereum is currently trading around $1,859 on Bitstamp. The price has decreased by roughly 0.95%, and it’s still below a key Fibonacci level.

Ethereum is currently staying above a support level between $1,800 and $1,780. This price range is key if Ethereum is going to continue its recent upward trend. If the price falls below this level, it could lead to further drops towards $1,700 and then $1,600.
Ethereum faces initial resistance around $2,120.7. Before reaching that level, it needs to climb back above $1,950 and $2,000. If it can close above $2,120.7 daily, it could then move towards $2,592.1.
The market’s momentum appears inconsistent when looking at daily trends. While the MACD is slightly positive (at 41.8 compared to a signal line of 38.3), the Relative Strength Index (RSI) shows some weakness, currently at 54.45 against an average of 59.79.
