64-year-old actress, who plays the role of Michaela Kell (a billionaire socialite) in the series, donned a sophisticated black evening dress as she struck poses for photographers on the red carpet.

Her dress showcased a wavy, scooped collar and thin shoulder straps, and it was finished off with a full A-line skirt that was very voluminous.

The dress she wore had a rippled, scoop neck and thin spaghetti straps, and its design was capped off with a large, flowing A-line skirt.

The Academy Award-winning actress disclosed that her debut book, Freckleface Strawberry, has been banned from schools managed by the Department of Defense.

She expressed her profound surprise upon learning this fact, explaining that the book centers around a 7-year-old girl who initially disliked her freckles, yet ultimately learned to embrace them.

In the book, the little girl ‘realizes that she is different just like everybody else.’

Julianne explained: “This is a book I penned for my kids and others like them, serving as a reminder that everyone faces challenges, yet our shared humanity and community bind us together.

The choice to ban the book from Defense Department (DoD) classrooms arises during a broader effort to restrict lessons on diversity, equality, and inclusion.

Other topics like transgender and immigration issues have also reportedly been banned.

Julianne shared that she attended a Defense Department school, was brought up by a father who served as a Vietnam war veteran, and has a military background since he spent his entire professional life in the United States Army.

‘I could not be prouder of him and his service to our country,’ she said. 

It’s frustrating for me to understand that children, much like myself who grew up with a parent serving and attended a DoDEA school, won’t be able to read a book penned by someone whose life experiences are very relatable to their own.

Julianne expressed confusion about why a part of her picture book was deemed “so contentious” and subsequently banned by the U.S. government.

It’s deeply disheartening, as I had always believed such occurrences were unimaginable in a nation that guarantees free speech and expression by its constitution.

Defense Department schools cater to the education needs of kids whose parents serve as military personnel or work as civilians within the department. Approximately 70,000 students are enrolled in these educational institutions, which number around 161 schools.
