Ah, the much-anticipated financial app-what could possibly go wrong? The popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has finally decided to dabble in finance, much to the delight of those who adore chaos.
Elon Musk, ever the maestro of the dramatic reveal, took to X to announce that the app’s early public access will debut as soon as next month. How very… next month.

Why It Matters for Crypto?
As CryptoPotato reported, Musk’s vision of turning social media into an “everything app” has been as subtle as a sledgehammer to the head. The latter, apparently, is a payments feature so groundbreaking it will surely revolutionize the way we send money to our grandmothers.
Up until this moment, Musk said the app was running in a closed internal beta. How thrilling! Nothing says “exclusive” like a secret menu at a diner that doesn’t actually exist.
Early screenshots of the popular actor William Shatner suggested that the app may include features such as a debit card with cashback, as well as tools for sending and receiving payments. One can only hope it also includes a time machine to reverse the damage Musk has already done.
One of the biggest questions surrounding X Money, however, is whether or not it will support cryptocurrencies. Musk, who has previously influenced crypto markets with the subtlety of a hurricane, has hinted at broader financial capabilities. “The overall initiative will be big,” he mused, because nothing says “visionary” like vague, overly ambitious statements.
It’s worth noting, however, that there’s no official confirmation of whether such integrations will be featured. Because, of course, why would there be? After all, nothing says “trustworthy” like a cryptic announcement from a man who once tried to buy Twitter with a mix of sarcasm and a Tesla.
