Eli Roth is giving horror fans a first look at his new movie, Ice Cream Man, with a newly released trailer. The film, produced through his independent company The Horror Section, is a highly anticipated slasher promising to be even more intense and graphic than his previous work, and will be shown in theaters without a rating.

For over twenty years, director Scott Roth has been developing the idea behind his latest film, a story set in a beautiful summer town that quickly descends into horror. The movie centers around an ice cream vendor, played by Ari Millen, who seems friendly but whose treats cause the town’s children to become violently crazed. The script was initially considered too extreme by some studios, so Roth decided to produce the film independently, calling it his most frightening and over-the-top work yet.

This project brings Roth back together with frequent collaborator Noah Belson. The cast also includes Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, and Sarah Abbott. Adding to the film’s appeal, the music features an original score by Emmy winner Brandon Roberts, along with contributions from Snoop Dogg. Rap icon Nas joins the team as an executive producer, working alongside Media Capital Technologies.

Ice Cream Man drops in theaters on August 7, 2026.
