Elder Scrolls creator Julian LeFay has died following tragic battle with cancer
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Julian LeFay, creator of the Elder Scrolls series, following his fight against cancer. Known as the lead programmer for The Elder Scrolls: Arena in 1996, LeFay recently stepped away from game development, and passed away only a week later.
It was announced that the renowned game developer had passed away, according to a statement from OnceLost Games, which is LeFay’s studio along with Elder Scrolls co-creator Ted Peterson. LeFay established this studio to produce The Wayward Realms, a contemporary RPG in the style of the classic game Daggerfall.
