Elden Ring’s Iron Eye Class is a Ranged Assassin

On April Fool’s Day, Elden Ring: Nightreign offered an authentic sneak peek into the game by unveiling a first glimpse of a fresh character class. Previously, during the initial Network Test, only four out of eight planned classes were accessible to players. Today, eager fans got their first look at one of the remaining four classes set to debut when Elden Ring: Nightreign hits shelves on May 30th. This newly revealed class is called Iron Eye and it will emphasize ranged weaponry.

The video posted by @EldenRing on X offers a sneak peek at the Iron Eye class from Elden Ring Nightreign. The class is subtly introduced in the accompanying text, so it might be easy to overlook. To catch a glimpse of this new class, make sure to watch the video that contains approximately a minute of gameplay footage highlighting the Iron Eye class. With swift precision and unyielding resolve, may your projectiles claim lives. May your shots find their mark, piercing through the shadows.

The preview is completely cinematic, featuring no narration, yet the actions convey the story clearly. The Iron Eye class will employ a bow and arrow to inflict powerful strikes, with additional power-ups enhancing the effectiveness of these ranged weapons even further. Similar to any well-rounded ranged RPG character, the Iron Eye will prioritize dexterity-based weapons and abilities. However, this Nightfarer can wield any weapon found throughout gameplay; though you’ll find the most success with ranged weapons. This class offers an essential capability to attack enemies and heal allies from a distance, thereby enriching the gameplay experience of Elden Ring Nightreign, providing a nice balance against the predominantly spellcasting characters showcased during the Network Test.

All Officially Confirmed Elden Ring Nightreign Classes So Far

In summary, The Iron Eye has been added to the roster of the Elden Ring Nightreign’s previously unveiled four classes, bringing the total number of confirmed character classes in the game up to five. This implies that there will be three more class reveals, which could happen on launch day or during later previews. Here are the known Nightfarer classes available thus far.

Wylder

In Elden Ring Nightreign, this class is ideal for players who prefer a hands-on approach, focusing on inflicting damage in close combat. It boasts high health points and abilities that aid in staying active during battles, making it perfect for those looking to engage enemies head-on and deal some serious blows.

Guardian

A class in Elden Ring Nightreign that excels in close combat is called the Guardian, boasting a sturdy defensive style. With an elevated starting health and abilities geared towards improving your defense further, the Guardian serves as a reliable tank, taking on damage while your allies dish it out to the enemy.

Recluse

For individuals skilled in magic, let me introduce the Recluse class. As a Recluse, you’ll specialize in casting spells from afar, unleashing a diverse array of elemental attacks. This class is unique as it emphasizes damage output over health points, making it a challenging choice for those not well-versed in evading enemy attacks due to its low starting HP.

Duchess

The Duchess character has cunning, thief-like traits, boasting average health at the start yet excelling in elusive maneuvers. Her skillset allows her to lessen dangers and swiftly strike from the shadows with her nimble attacks.

Iron Eye

The latest addition to our roster is a class specialized in ranged combat, particularly with agility-based weapons such as bows and arrows. You can strike enemies and aid allies from a distance, and based on the trailer, you will do so stylishly.

In this version, I aimed to maintain the original meaning while using simpler language and a more conversational tone.
