Previously, the Soulsborne series subtly incorporated key aspects of roguelikes like death and respawning, but never fully embraced the concept. However, with the release of Elden Ring: Nightrein, they’ve taken a bold step into the roguelike genre. Conquering the boss isn’t where the run ends; instead, it continues to Day 2 and eventually reaches the Nightlord on Day 3. In my gaming adventure through Elden Ring’s Nightrein, I’ve noticed that a full run spans over three action-packed days. Typically, the first two days of my run last around 15-20 minutes apiece. However, the overall duration of each run can fluctuate significantly based on how long it takes me to conquer the day’s final boss.

After completing the first two days, you’ll immediately proceed to day three without any breaks for exploration. During this day, you’ll only face the Nightlord you initially chose when embarking on the journey. Defeating the Nightlord typically takes around 20 minutes, but the exact time depends on your character level, upgrades to your equipment, and the overall proficiency of your team.

In other words, the duration to complete a successful Elden Ring Nightrein run typically ranges from approximately 45 to 60 minutes. However, this estimate doesn’t factor in instances where the player is defeated early on; the given timeframe pertains solely to victorious attempts.
