Elden Ring Nightrein: How Long Is a Run

In the thrilling world of Elden Ring, as I embark on a perilous journey through Nightrein, I find myself enduring an excruciating three-day ordeal within the harsh landscapes of Limveld. But, just how prolonged is this harrowing experience?

Previously, the Soulsborne series subtly incorporated key aspects of roguelikes like death and respawning, but never fully embraced the concept. However, with the release of Elden Ring: Nightrein, they’ve taken a bold step into the roguelike genre. Elden Ring: Nightrein is an offshoot multiplayer game set in Limveld, where players must endure three days and defeat a Nightlord to emerge victorious.

As a gamer, I embark on “journeys” in traditional roguelike games. These journeys are essentially segments where I descend into various levels, progress as far as possible, and ultimately take down the bosses at the end. In Elden Ring Nightrein, it’s similar. I plunge into Limvelt to start a new journey on Day 1.

As you traverse the map, you engage in battles against foes along the way, culminating in a boss encounter at the end of each day. Conquering the boss isn’t where the run ends; instead, it continues to Day 2 and eventually reaches the Nightlord on Day 3. In essence, a run in Elden Ring Nightrein spans over three consecutive days.

In Elden Ring Nightrein, despite the numerous play days it offers, you might think a run would consume a lot of time. Fortunately, runs in this game don’t stretch on for too long. If you’re curious about how long a run lasts within the game, keep reading to discover the answer.

How Long Is a Run in Elden Ring Nightrein

In my gaming adventure through Elden Ring’s Nightrein, I’ve noticed that a full run spans over three action-packed days. Typically, the first two days of my run last around 15-20 minutes apiece. However, the overall duration of each run can fluctuate significantly based on how long it takes me to conquer the day’s final boss.

After completing the first two days, you’ll immediately proceed to day three without any breaks for exploration. During this day, you’ll only face the Nightlord you initially chose when embarking on the journey. Defeating the Nightlord typically takes around 20 minutes, but the exact time depends on your character level, upgrades to your equipment, and the overall proficiency of your team.

In other words, the duration to complete a successful Elden Ring Nightrein run typically ranges from approximately 45 to 60 minutes. However, this estimate doesn’t factor in instances where the player is defeated early on; the given timeframe pertains solely to victorious attempts.
