Elden Ring Nightreign’s new “enhanced” boss fights have leaked early, thanks to nosy modders

As an avid fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the upcoming update for Elden Ring: Nightreign this month! It promises to elevate the fights against the existing Nightlords, making them even more thrilling. However, much like updates tend to do, some of these boss files are already sneakily hidden within the current game version. For those who can’t wait, there’s a mod available that lets you dive into the fray early!

On June 3rd, From Software hinted at upgraded boss fights in a social media post, leaving fans wondering about the nature of the enhancements mentioned. Could it be new move sets? Or perhaps stylish new hairstyles? Perhaps even an overconfident demeanor for these foes?

Later on, attentive players with sharp ears and keen eyes discovered unutilized parts in every boss’s soundtrack, hinting at an extra combat phase and additional boss relics that appeared to be rewards for defeating them in the hard mode. Now, thanks to PCGamer, NexusMods user TerraMag has unearthed the necessary files for engaging with “upgraded” Nightlords and made these encounters available as the subtly titled Enhanced Nightlord Fights mod.

If you find it challenging to take on these fully powered opponents yourself or simply prefer to relax while watching some intense battles, TerraMag has generously shared videos of the upgraded fights for your viewing pleasure. Please note that these aren’t the polished, officially approved versions of each enhanced boss, so they may seem rough around the edges and unfinished.

In the description of one video, TerraMag criticizes Adel, Night Baron, stating that “this individual refused to perform regular bite actions to allow me to demonstrate the new effect.” It may be because you awakened Adel’s third phase prematurely, friend. I’m not exactly a morning person myself. So don’t ask me to bite anyone before I’ve had my second cup of coffee.

Moving forward, we anticipate introducing co-op adventures to Elden Ring Nightreign, along with regular adjustments and technical improvements.
