A new expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign, called The Forsaken Hollows, will be released in under a month. It was announced and shown off in a new trailer during State of Play Japan.
Elden Ring became a massive hit in 2022, quickly gaining popularity and winning numerous Game of the Year awards thanks to its challenging combat and stunning visuals. Its expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, also received critical acclaim. More recently, in early 2025, Elden Ring: Nightreign offered a streamlined and enjoyable multiplayer experience. Now, players can look forward to even more new content being added to the game.

Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows Revealed During State of Play Japan
The recently released trailer showcases challenging bosses and the Nightfarers. Although details are still limited, The Forsaken Hollows is the first expansion coming for Elden Ring: Nightreign. It’s scheduled to be released on December 4th, 2025.
Okay, so Nightreign isn’t quite Elden Ring level popular yet, but the developers are really keeping it alive with constant updates and new content, which is awesome. It looks like there’s going to be a ton for both returning players like me and anyone new jumping in to enjoy. I’m definitely excited to see what they reveal as the December 4th release date gets closer!
