Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.02 will arrive next week, and it’ll make things much easier for solo players

The upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign update version 1.02 is set to arrive next week, enhancing the single-player mode to offer a smoother and less challenging experience for individual players.

Next week, the Elden Ring official account tweeted that Patch 1.02, titled “Nightreign,” will roll out. This update will address several bugs and enhance the experience for single-player journeys. FromSoftware has shared some preliminary details about these solo enhancements, with further information to be revealed next week.

In other words, from now on, solo players will have an ‘Auto-Resurrection after Defeat’ feature available during boss battles, which offers three chances for revival over the span of an expedition. Furthermore, while we haven’t specified the exact number yet, you can expect to gather more runes when playing alone as a single player. It should provide a significant advantage and make solo play worthwhile for those players who opt for it.

At present, there hasn’t been any official announcement about duos in Elden Ring Nightreign. The Steam reviews for this game by FromSoftware are among the lowest they’ve ever received, and one of the main issues raised is the absence of a two-player option. FromSoftware has mentioned that they might introduce a two-player mode as post-launch support, but it seems it will take some time before this happens. Fortunately, there is an alternative – a mod for Elden Ring Nightreign that allows two players to play, created by the same person who made Dark Souls and Armored Ring multiplayer mods. However, this option is only beneficial for PC gamers who are comfortable with tweaking their games.
