Elden Ring Nightreign Matchmaking Not Working? FromSoftware Has Some Suggestions
During the initial weekend, FromSoftware admitted encountering problems with matchmaking in Elden Ring: Nightreign, and provided recommendations for players experiencing these troubles.
31st May, FromSoftware took to Twitter to address players encountering issues with finding other players during expeditions in their Elden Ring spin-off’s multiplayer mode. If you are experiencing this issue, they recommend restarting the matchmaking process as a potential solution. While this advice may not seem helpful, at least it shows that the developers acknowledge the problem. They concluded by expressing gratitude for your patience and understanding.
FromSoftware responded to the previous post with another one, addressing concerns particularly for PlayStation users. If you’re experiencing issues with matchmaking on your PS4 or PS5, it’s recommended to check your Network Address Translation (NAT) type. FromSoftware stated that a NAT type of 3 might impact matchmaking in the PlayStation Network (PSN).
- Check your NAT type with the following steps:
- Home > Settings > Network > Connection Status > Check Connection Status
There is no specific advice for Xbox at this time.
Yesterday, the producer Yasuhiro Kitao shared his thoughts online about the robust initial sales of Elden Ring Nightreign, which sold 2 million copies during its debut day.
Kitao pointed out that Nightreign possesses unique elements in its game structure, distinguishing it from our more recent releases. However, he acknowledged the courage displayed by many players who ventured into this new realm, for which they are deeply appreciative.
Similar to Demon’s Souls or Sekiro, Nightreign might seem perplexing initially. However, just like those games, it presents unique challenges and experiences. Once you conquer the initial barrier, it will undoubtedly reward you with a feeling of achievement that is distinctively its own.
“We hope you enjoy it.”
It seems this tweet is discussing the current status and challenges of a game named Nightreign on Steam. The main issues mentioned include its challenging single-player mode, absence of duos cooperative play, lack of voice chat, and some outdated mechanics. It appears that finding enough players for a three-player group has been an ongoing issue in multiplayer games, including the Elden Ring Nightreign experience. A new update aimed at improving the solo player’s experience is expected to be released next week.
As explained in iggn.ru‘s Elden Ring Nightreign review: “Let’s get the most important caveat out of the way first: if you are hoping to tackle Nightreign entirely solo, and are anything less than a hardcore Elden Ring player that actively seeks out ways to make that already difficult game even more challenging, Nightreign isn’t for you. Yes, there is technically a single-player option, but it is so poorly balanced that I would be shocked if it isn’t patched and adjusted within the first month of release. And this is coming from someone who lives and breathes these types of games.”
