The next big update for eFootball 2026, version 5.3.0, is coming on February 5th, 2026. Konami hasn’t released the full list of changes yet, but based on past updates and the recent v5.2.2 version, we have a good idea of what to expect.
eFootball 2026 v5.3.0 update: All the details explained
Okay, so the last update brought back Treasure Link, which was awesome! They also gave us some new packs, a cool new way to play called Link-Up, and a bunch of powerful Epic and Show Time cards. Everyone’s hoping this new update, v5.3.0, keeps things going strong, but it looks like we won’t be seeing Treasure Link or Selection Contracts this time around, which is a bit of a bummer.
A small update, version 5.3.0, will be available for #eFootball on February 5, 2026.

Based on KONAMI’s typical update schedule, we’re likely to see new box draws available on Thursday. This probably means new Epic and Show Time packs will be released soon after the update. There’s also a good chance that version 5.3.0 will introduce a new manager with a special Link-Up play style.
February is typically when Brazil celebrates Carnival, and the eFootball video game has run promotions around this holiday before, like last year. This suggests we might soon see Brazilian-themed content in the game, such as special player packs, events, or cards.
In addition to everything else, we’ll be launching our regular Player of the Week (POTW) event along with the Nominating Contract, featuring a fresh group of players.
