eFootball 2026 Epic Didier Drogba pack: Review, Best Progression Builds, and Skills

To celebrate its 9th anniversary, eFootball 2026 is releasing a special pack featuring Epic Didier Drogba, giving players a great opportunity to add the legendary striker to their team. This pack is different from typical releases, as it includes 50 players, and KONAMI is offering up to 18 free attempts to get them as part of the anniversary event.

This feature alone makes this pack special. Even if you don’t get lucky with the free tries, you can still use Coins to keep going, giving you a real chance to eventually unlock Drogba if you’re determined.

But does this special version of Didier Drogba actually perform well in today’s game? Let’s take a closer look at how effective he is, the best way to develop his skills, which abilities are most useful for him, and ultimately, whether he’s worth the investment.

eFootball 2026 Epic Didier Drogba review

Didier Drogba

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Fox in the Box
  • Show Time Skill: Bullet Header

This card is classic Didier Drogba – a powerful, physical striker who excels in the air and is a strong finisher. He’s designed to overpower defenders, and his style of play hasn’t changed much from his previous cards.

It’s worth noting that this Show Time version includes just one special skill, Bullet Header, whereas newer 50-player packs typically offer two. However, because this version is part of a promotion with free chances to win, it’s likely KONAMI reduced the number of skills included.

Okay, so from what I can tell, this card is going to be a real pain to play against when it comes to aerial battles. The ‘Bullet Header’ trait, plus how strong and how good he is at jumping, basically screams that you need to avoid crossing the ball to the opponent if you have him on the field. If you do, he’s going to be a constant threat in the air.

As you’d expect, he’s a physically imposing player – strong at holding off defenders and shielding the ball. However, his speed is a clear weakness. Even with optimized builds, it’s difficult to get his pace and acceleration both above 90.

Look, I get it – you can’t expect this guy to play like those super-fast, meta strikers everyone’s using. And honestly, the ‘Fox in the Box’ style isn’t for everyone either. He’s not gonna be constantly making those aggressive runs like a pure Goal Poacher, so you really need to build your tactics around him. Think more crosses and smart link-up play – that’s where he shines. You’ve gotta use him correctly to get the most out of him.

He’s decent when he’s at his best. You’ll really notice his lack of speed and agility when he’s dribbling or trying to hold onto the ball. I think he’d be really effective coming off the bench, especially late in a game. When defenders are tired, his physical style can be particularly disruptive.

I left the fifth skill slot flexible to suit your play style. If you want him to participate more in passing combinations, consider Through Passing, especially with the Fox in the Box or Super Sub tactics. It’s up to you!

Recommended skills include quick ball control (Double Touch and One Touch Pass), bending shots with the outside of the foot (Outside Curler), powerful long-distance shots, and the ability to create scoring opportunities with through balls or as a substitute player (Super Sub/Through Passing).
