As a dedicated follower of Eamonn Holmes’ career and personal life, I find it intriguing to see him continue to make appearances on television despite his ongoing health struggles and recent divorce. The image of him smiling next to Anne Diamond on GB News this weekend was a pleasant surprise for many viewers, but some eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice that he was still wearing his wedding ring.

Eamonn Holmes was still wearing his wedding ring as he took on an extra work shift this weekend.

On Sundays instead of his usual weekday hosting gig, the Irish broadcaster, aged 64, unexpectedly joined Anne Diamond on GB News.

When he flashed a smile for the camera, he was inundated with compliments from fans who found his collaboration with the other person engaging and delightful to behold.

However some eagle eyed fans noticed Eamonn was still wearing his wedding ring on his hand, despite the ongoing divorce with

Based on my personal observation and experience, it seems that the first comment suggests that someone has noticed that a person is still wearing their wedding ring. This could mean a few things – perhaps they are going through a difficult time in their marriage and haven’t yet made the decision to take off the ring as a symbol of their commitment. Alternatively, they may be choosing to wear it as a reminder of past happiness or as a way of coping with the challenges they’re facing.

In May, after being together for 27 years and having been married for 14, the couple made the decision to go their separate ways.

After Eamonn posted on Instagram earlier this month that “it’s challenging for me to stay upright,” he expressed his intention to eventually take steps forward in the face of his persistent health challenges.

In June, he went to the TRIC Awards and received the award for Best Morning Show on GB News during which he used a zimmer frame to move around as he accepted the recognition.

For several years, the broadcaster has dealt with persistent back pain. However, after an unproductive surgery, his health deteriorated further, making it difficult for him to move around without assistance.

After my spinal surgery a year ago, I found myself unable to walk by September 2023. So, I decided it was time for some extra help. I underwent a spine and neck stretching procedure to regain mobility and ease the discomfort in my back and neck area.

Eamonn openly acknowledged that he was still struggling after his back surgery. He shared honestly, “I’m unable to run or walk properly. All I can manage is sitting in front of the TV and eating.”

Last year, I suffered from some issues with my back that I still haven’t fully recuperated from. I must admit, it’s far from ideal.

Eamonn is receiving comfort from Katie Alexander, a divorced mother of three and 22 years his junior, during his split from Ruth, according to recent reports.

In the past few weeks, he has been regularly meeting with a counselor, and it’s been reported that she harbors the hope that their bond could develop into a lasting connection.

According to a source, Katie is providing support to Eamonn during his difficult period, yet she isn’t interested in being perceived as the cause of their marital issues becoming public.

‘The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn’s marriage has been over for some time.’ 

Ruth has a common son, Jack (age 22), with Eamonn, while she herself is a parent to Declan (age 35), Rebecca (age 32), and Niall (age 30) from a past relationship.

I made my debut on Loose Women 24 years ago, but I haven’t anchored the show since April.
