In the game Monster Hunter World, Dual Blades are an excellent choice, yet they can lead to a whirlwind of swordplay, rapid stamina drain, and moments that might make you wonder about your strategic decisions.
The Dual Blades are relentless, unyielding, and indifferent to boundaries. They put you right in the beast’s grille, slashing mercilessly until the monster falls or your energy gives out, leaving you with an awkward demise.
This Dual Blades guide is designed to help you discover top-notch equipment and abilities, empowering you to excel as a superior Dual Blade hunter!
Best Dual Blades build in Monster Hunter Wilds
Best low rank Dual Blades build
At low ranks, the optimal armor for a Dual Blades setup is the Guardian Ebony suit, offering enhanced resistance against Burst and Bleed damage.

The Burst skill significantly benefits Dual Blades users by increasing both elemental power and attack when you consistently attack with your blades. Furthermore, wearing the complete set of this gear extends the duration of Burst and adds an additional 3 points to your attack while it’s active, making it a perfect fit for this weapon.

In terms of weapons, the Dosha Fastflayers 2 is highly recommended for lower ranks due to its capability of inflicting substantial damage and its feature that enables dual blades to be charged up for a longer period. This skill comes built-in at level 2, further enhancing its usefulness.
I also recommend forging the Sheathe Charm I so you can jump in and out of action as needed.

Best Dual Blades skills
For a strong Dual Blade build, focus on developing Power Prolonger, Attack Boost, and Burst abilities. Combining these with Critical Draw and Critical Status will provide a robust offensive. On the defensive front, aim to use jewelry and talismans that offer immunity to conditions like Stun, Paralysis, or other status effects that may interfere with your Demon Mode charge recharge.

Best Dual Blades skills explained
Power Prolonger
As a gamer, I can’t stress enough the importance of Power Prolonger for my Dual Blades. This skill ensures that my combo gauge fills up quicker, allowing me to unleash faster and more lethal combinations in no time. It’s a must-have, so make sure you equip at least one or two pieces of gear with this skill for maximum effectiveness!
Attack Boost
The Dual Blades focus on dealing high damage, yet at times, their speed surpasses their raw power. By boosting your attack through skill points or leveling up, you can ensure that each strike is impactful.
Burst
As a devoted Dual Blades wielder, it’s my duty to inflict consistent damage. The Burst skill amplifies both my attack power and elemental damage as I keep attacking without pause, making it my preferred choice when using Dual Blades.
Stun & Paralysis Resistance
It’s really frustrating to build up energy for your Demon Dance move, just to get stopped in your tracks by an opponent stunning you. But if you wear a charm or jewelry that prevents stunning, you’ll avoid encountering that issue altogether.
Quick Sheathe
Constantly being on the frontline of battles means you’ll occasionally sustain damage, which isn’t unexpected. Since Dual Blade Wielders can’t self-heal like Insect Glaive users do, it’s essential to use Mega Potions. This is where the speed at which you can sheathe and unsheath your weapon proves useful.
How to play the Dual Blades
Dual Blades emphasize swift attacks, aggressive play, and continuous combinations. Different from heftier weapons, they prioritize raw attack strength over defense, so positioning is crucial. The main objective is to keep attacking while skillfully dodging to dodge counterattacks at the right moments.

Engaging Demon Mode using the correct prompt increases attack speed and agility while simultaneously depleting stamina. Performing attacks in this mode fills up the Demon Gauge, eventually triggering Archdemon Mode, which amplifies your abilities without causing any stamina loss. Mastering the art of transitioning between these states is crucial for keeping the upper hand against the monster.
Key moves such as Blade Dance deliver quick, high-damage blows, while Demon Dodge enables flawless dodging, offering momentary knockdown resistance and increased damage output. A fresh move called Focus Strike – Turning Tide lets you spin around a monster’s body, focusing on vulnerable spots for immense damage.
To become proficient with Dual Blades, strive to alternate between Demon and Archdemon modes frequently, utilize agility to adjust your position during combos, and carefully time your dodges to maintain constant pressure while avoiding exposing any vulnerabilities.
