As a big fan of Saturday Night Live UK, I’ve gotta say they’ve really nailed the guest host choices all season, and the last two episodes were no different – they totally delivered!
After Aimee Lou Wood’s appearance tomorrow, Hannah Waddingham will host the show on May 9th. Waddingham is a celebrated stage actress with three Laurence Olivier Awards and is widely recognized for her role as Rebecca Welton in the popular series Ted Lasso.
The 16 May episode and season finale will be hosted by Doctor Who and Barbie star Ncuti Gatwa.
It’s so cool to realize Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Corrin, and Jessica Waddingham were all in Sex Education together! It got me thinking… do you think we might see some of the other stars from that show – like Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, or Connor Swindells – as hosts next season? That would be amazing!
We’re excited to announce the musical guests: Myles Smith will perform on the May 9th episode, and Holly Humberstone will take the stage in the season finale.

So, I just heard Ncuti Gatwa’s gonna be in a new movie called The Queen of Fashion – he’s playing fashion designer Michael Roberts! The cast is looking pretty awesome too, with Andrea Riseborough, Dane DeHaan, and Joe Cole all signed on. I’m definitely adding this to my watchlist.
He’s also going to be in Cynthia Erivo’s new animated musical, Bad Fairies. The music for the film is written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Ross, the songwriters behind the popular musical Six.
The last two episodes of Saturday Night Live UK weren’t originally planned for the first season, but Sky approved them just days before the show premiered, demonstrating their dedication to bringing the American comedy classic to the UK. The big question now is whether Sky will renew the show for another season.
In the UK, you can watch Saturday Night Live on Sky One at 10 PM on Saturdays, or stream it on Sky and NOW. If you’re in the US, new episodes become available on Peacock every Sunday.
