Disney+ Now Includes 14 Great MCU Movie Collections

As a huge Marvel fan, I was so excited when Disney+ launched in late 2019 – they promised it would be the place to find everything Marvel, and honestly, they’ve mostly delivered! They didn’t just stick to the big movies; they brought over those Netflix shows with Daredevil and the others, plus all the fun little ‘One-Shot’ shorts. And now, with all the original series they’ve been making, Disney+ has really organized everything. They’ve put all the movies and shows into these collections, all branded with the Marvel Studios logo, making it super easy to just dive in and binge-watch whatever you’re in the mood for.

Disney+ has collections branded with the Marvel Studios logo that feature only projects produced by Marvel Studios. Other Marvel collections include content from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also contain films and shows that aren’t part of the MCU. With 14 official Marvel Studios collections available in the US, it’s clear just how large and expansive the MCU franchise has become, offering fans a wealth of content.

MCU TV and Movie Collections on Disney+

Infinity Saga

The Infinity Saga is the highlight of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This collection on Disney+ includes all the films from the first three phases – starting with Iron Man and ending with Avengers: Endgame – showcasing the complete story arc. It’s important to know that Spider-Man: Far From Home isn’t included due to complicated rights issues between Sony and Marvel. Overall, it’s a fantastic way to experience the MCU at its best.

Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy collection gathers all the Marvel Cinematic Universe stories featuring the team of lovable space adventurers. It includes all three Guardians of the Galaxy movies, the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, the I Am Groot shorts, and their appearances in Thor: Love and Thunder, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and the What If…? series. It also features the MPower documentary. This collection represents the complete Guardians story as envisioned by James Gunn.

Wanda and Vision

The Wanda and Vision collection on Disney+ focuses on the heartbreaking love story between Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany). It includes the series WandaVision and the earlier Avengers movies that show how their relationship began. If you want to see Wanda’s full journey – from her first appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron to what happens after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – this is the place to start.

Black Panther

Disney+ now features a dedicated collection of Black Panther content. It includes both Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, along with episodes of What If…? and key Avengers movies showcasing Wakanda and T’Challa. This collection tells the complete story of Wakanda’s royal family, from T’Challa’s first appearance to Shuri taking on a leadership role in Wakanda Forever, created as a tribute following the passing of Chadwick Boseman.

Black Widow

After years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow finally headlined her own movie in 2021. The Black Widow collection on Disney+ showcases that film and brings together all of Natasha Romanoff’s key appearances throughout the MCU. It’s a comprehensive look at her journey, from her origins as a highly trained spy to her ultimate sacrifice. The collection also includes related series and films, like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Thunderbolts, which continue storylines that began with Natasha’s story.

Thor

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor has been featured in more solo movies than any other Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character, and all of his appearances are now available to stream. The collection includes all four Thor films – from the first Thor to Thor: Love and Thunder – plus his team-ups with the Avengers and his alternate reality appearance in What If…?. With a new take on Thor coming in Avengers: Doomsday, it’s a great time to rewatch everything and see how the character has evolved.

The Avengers

Get ready for the ultimate Marvel team-up! The Avengers collection includes all four core Avengers movies – The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame – plus other important films that connect to the story. This collection features the defining moments of the Infinity Saga and is perfect for anyone new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe or longtime fans. It’s essential viewing before the release of Avengers: Doomsday in December!

Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is central to the collection of films and series featuring the character, including Doctor Strange, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and appearances in What If…? and throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe where his magical skills are crucial. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is particularly important, as it significantly explores alternate realities and sets the stage for the MCU’s larger Multiverse Saga.

Ant-Man

Paul Rudd as Scott Lang (Ant-Man) has starred in a consistently funny series of Marvel movies. This collection includes all three Ant-Man films – Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – as well as his appearances in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame, where the special Pym Particles were crucial. It’s a great way to follow Ant-Man’s journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hulk

Throughout the Infinity Saga, Bruce Banner’s struggle with the Hulk has been a central theme, and this collection showcases all of his major appearances. It includes his first film, The Incredible Hulk, along with his roles in the Avengers movies and Thor: Ragnarok, where both Bruce Banner and the Hulk are prominently featured. Interestingly, Bruce Banner isn’t the only one who transforms into a Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thaddeus Ross also becomes a Hulk (as Red Hulk) in Captain America: Brave New World, so that film is included in this collection as well.

Falcon and Winter Soldier

I’m so excited they’re putting together a complete collection of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes’ journey! It’s amazing to have everything in one place – from their adventures in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series to all their key moments in the Captain America movies. And it’s perfect timing, leading right up to Captain America: Brave New World, the film that finally showed the world Sam Wilson stepping into the role of Captain America. It really highlights their entire partnership and evolution!

 Hawkeye

Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner, is a standout character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who hasn’t always gotten the attention he deserves. The Hawkeye collection finally gives his story the focus it needs. It includes the Hawkeye Disney+ series, where we meet Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Clint’s new apprentice, as well as the Avengers movies that shaped his journey. The series also brought back a familiar face – Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin – to the MCU.

 Loki

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is a standout character, having his own two-season series on Disney+. The Loki collection gathers his complete story, showing his transformation from a villain from Asgard to a guardian of time. It includes both seasons of Loki, the Thor movies where he first appeared, and the Avengers films he played a part in. The second season of Loki ended with a hugely important event: Loki saved the entire multiverse by holding it together at the Citadel at the End of Time. This will be a key moment leading into Avengers: Doomsday.

 One-Shot

Early in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios created a series of short films called ‘One-Shots.’ Originally released with Blu-ray discs, they’re now all available to stream on Disney+ as a single collection. These shorts expanded the universe with stories like ‘The Consultant’ and ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer,’ both starring Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson. ‘Item 47’ directly led to the creation of the TV shows Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, while ‘All Hail the King’ helped set up the events of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The humorous ‘Team Thor’ shorts—’Team Thor,’ ‘Team Thor: Part 2,’ and ‘Team Darryl’—were officially added to the One-Shot collection in 2022.

Other Collections on Disney+ With Many MCU Projects

Iron Suits

The Iron Suits collection brings together every Marvel Cinematic Universe project featuring armored heroes, essentially serving as a complete collection of Iron Man and his legacy. It includes all three Iron Man movies, the Avengers films where Tony Stark takes the lead, and Ironheart, the upcoming 2025 Disney+ series starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a young inventor who creates her own suit based on Tony Stark’s technology. This collection is the perfect way to follow the entire history of the Iron Man armor, from the very first Mark I suit built in a cave to the advanced armor created by Riri Williams.

Daredevil

As a huge Marvel fan, I’ve been following Matt Murdock’s journey for years, and it’s amazing to see how his story bridges different phases of Marvel TV. The new ‘Daredevil’ collection on Disney+ brings together everything – all three seasons of the original Netflix show, which are now officially part of the main MCU timeline, plus both seasons of the ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ series with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. With the recent premiere of Season 2 of ‘Born Again’, Disney+ also released the first-ever official podcast for the show, and that’s included in the collection too. It’s a real treat for any Daredevil devotee like myself!

Spider-Man

The Spider-Man collection on Disney+ brings together nearly all of the Spider-Man movies and shows from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While some of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films are co-produced with Sony and haven’t always been on Disney+, they’re expected to be added soon. The collection also features the classic Spider-Man films starring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, plus popular animated Spider-Man series.
