Okay, so this is a bummer, but PerBlue Entertainment just announced they’re shutting down Disney Heroes: Battle Mode. It’s a tactical RPG I’ve been playing for a while, and it’s been awesome seeing all the Disney and Pixar characters in action. It launched way back in May 2018, so it had a good 8-year run, but sadly it’s going offline on May 31, 2026. I’m definitely going to miss it!
Disney Heroes: Battle Mode shutdown confirmed, but no exact reason revealed by devs
Disney Heroes: Battle Mode is a fast-paced role-playing game featuring more than 200 characters from popular Disney and Pixar movies, including The Incredibles, Wreck-It Ralph, and Zootopia. Players collect these characters, build powerful teams, and equip them with gear to fight against villains who’ve been corrupted, such as Kuzco and Tiana.
Disney Heroes: Battle Mode will be ending its run after an amazing eight years, with the final update planned for the end of May 2026. You can find more details here:

The team behind Disney Heroes: Battle Mode announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the game will be ending on May 31, 2026. They shared this news with the release of update 7.11, adding that it’s been a rewarding experience bringing their creative vision to the game.
You can still download and enjoy the latest update until EOS
The game will no longer be available for download and all in-app purchases will stop on April 30, 2026. Until then, you can continue playing and enjoy the newest update, which includes characters like Mowgli and Benjamin Gates, among others.
It’s understandable that many fans are disappointed with the news. A lot of people are asking the developers to reconsider shutting down the game, and many are hoping for an offline version similar to what was offered for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete. Some fans are also frustrated that the announcement came so soon after new content – a new pass and two characters – was released.
