Katie Price quickly video-called her husband, Lee Andrews, on his birthday. This came after she defended his PhD on Good Morning Britain, addressing accusations that he falsely claimed the degree.
Okay, so I was chatting with Susanna and Ed on the show today, and everyone’s been asking about my new husband, Lee! It’s been such a whirlwind – we fell for each other quickly and recently got married. It feels amazing, and I was so happy to share the news with them!
Since Lee announced his marriage, he’s faced accusations of dishonesty. This follows claims he’s made about his background, such as being a wealthy businessman with a doctorate from Cambridge University and having connections to Elon Musk.
Despite this, Katie maintained that Lee does hold a doctorate, explaining on Good Morning Britain to hosts Susanna, 55, and Ed, 59, that it was awarded by a university in Spain.
Shortly after being on TV, she was spotted leaving the studio and used her phone to show viewers who she was communicating with.
Katie was dressed casually in an Adidas sweatshirt and joggers when she got a surprise video call from her husband, Lee, on her phone.
Lee recently shared more details about his life on Instagram, posting about his aspirations to become a trillionaire, an unexplained source of income, and his status among the wealthiest people.
Katie has defended herself against accusations that she was deceived, firmly stating she wasn’t involved with a fraudster or someone using a fake identity. She told The Sun she simply wants people to be happy for her and doesn’t believe she was taken advantage of.
Oh my gosh, you guys, she showed us! She actually let us see proof he went to university and even got his PhD! It was all there, like, a huge binder full of paperwork – his actual PhD documents! I couldn’t believe my eyes, it was so real! It just proves everything I’ve always known about him!
I really examined everything closely. Some of the stamps are made of wax, and because of that, it’s impossible to counterfeit them, you see?
I can tell these certificates are genuine because of details like the watermarks. Everything he’s presented to me seems completely authentic – I’m not easily fooled. These aren’t reproductions; they’re the real thing.
However, the publication later proved claims that Lee attended Cambridge were false. The university confirmed they had no record of him ever being a student in their Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.
Nonetheless, Katie insisted that Lee DOES have a PhD as she appeared on GMB, on Monday.
Host Ed shared a strange story: the man claimed to be a doctor with a PhD from Cambridge, but the university has no record of him.
Katie responded: ‘He doesn’t have a PhD from Cambridge, it’s one in Spain.
He claims to have a PhD, but it wasn’t earned at Cambridge. I’m not sure where he actually got it, but it definitely wasn’t from Cambridge, though he does have a doctorate.
According to his diplomatic passport, he’s listed as Doctor Lee Andrews, but his regular passport identifies him as Wesley Lee Andrews.
I recently sat down for a candid conversation on Good Morning Britain where I addressed some unfair criticism I’ve been receiving. It was important for me to speak openly about my new marriage and set the record straight, and I definitely didn’t hold back when responding to those who’ve been disrespectful.
Katie tied the knot with a businessman in Dubai at the One&Only Royal Mirage hotel in January. The wedding deeply upset her family, especially her mother, Amy Price, and many fans worried she wasn’t familiar with her new husband.
The TV star defended herself against recent criticism on the ITV daytime show, stating she is happy and capable of making her own choices.
Susanna started the conversation by saying she’d understand why her friends would worry if they knew she’d married someone she’d just met. She explained, “If I were one of your friends, I’d be concerned for you.”
Honestly, it feels a little fast to me. I just wonder if you’ve really had the chance to truly know your spouse before rushing into things. It all happened so quickly, and I’m a bit puzzled by it all.
Wow, Katie really struck a nerve with that question! It got me thinking – do we ever truly know anyone? I mean, looking at her own experiences with marriage, she wonders how you can predict how things will turn out with someone. It’s a really poignant point – can we ever fully understand another person, or are we all a bit of a mystery, even to those closest to us?
I’ve experienced a lot in my life, including many relationships. I used to move quickly from one relationship to the next, and in the past, those relationships were consistently unhealthy – involving emotional, mental, physical, and controlling abuse.
I’ve learned to recognize warning signs in relationships, and with more life experience, I understand I can make my own choices. There’s no need to wait for someone or something else to make me happy.
It’s difficult to explain, really. It just felt so incredibly right. I hadn’t truly been in love before, not like that – I’d only felt that way with Dane Bowers and Peter Andre before this.
‘With Lee, it’s so different to every other relationship, and it works for me.’
