Strictly Come Dancing’s 36-year-old star recently had a baby boy, Bowden, with her partner Joe, 34. She’s been sharing updates about becoming new parents on social media.
Dianne posted an adorable collection of videos on Instagram showing Joe with their new baby son, writing, ‘2 weeks with my boys.’
The dancer revealed she had a difficult and exhausting labor with her son, Bowden, and suggested on social media that several unexpected things occurred during the birth.
Dianne revealed she was recovering in an oxygen chamber while also offering a peek into what life is like as a new mom.
The celebrity known from Strictly Come Dancing has been sharing her experience of becoming a new parent, including the challenges of recovering after childbirth and dealing with nighttime feedings.
She recently clarified how to pronounce her newborn son’s unique name after sharing it on Instagram.
The couple, who first met on the show Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, announced the name of their baby boy: Bowden. They chose his middle names to honor both her father, Mark, and Joe’s grandfather, Richard, who passed away in 2021.
As a new mom myself, I totally get the excitement around baby names! So, after announcing my little one’s arrival, I hopped on social media to share a peek of their tiny hand and clear up any confusion about how to pronounce the name. It’s a little thing, but I wanted everyone to feel included in the joy!
I always make sure to pronounce it correctly – Bowden Sugg, like ‘how’ you say the word, not ‘row’! She really clarified that, and I appreciate it, because it’s a unique name and I want to get it right.
Dianne shared the happy news with a photo of her sweet baby boy, cradled in her arms, and a picture of her and Joe bringing him home from the hospital.
She captioned the post: ‘Never felt a love like it. Baby Bowden Mark Richard Sugg. 16/03/26.’
Dianne announced she was expecting a baby on Instagram in September, before the new season of Strictly Come Dancing began.
In a charming video scored to Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer,” Dianne and Joe playfully pretended to paint a picture together, setting up an easel as if they were artists.
And then, we lifted up the canvas, and it was just the sweetest thing! It was a drawing of two little stick figures – one with bright red hair, just like mine – holding hands with a tiny baby. It was such a heartwarming moment!
The couple added that their first child was due in 2026 and revealed they were expecting a son.
Joe captioned the clip: ‘Our little baby boy ❤️ we cannot wait to meet you.’
Dianne hinted that the birth was imminent in February in a sweet update.
She created a video montage of her and Joe’s belongings and then added miniature versions.
