The popular sequel series featuring Dexter Morgan will return for a second season. Recently released photos offer a first glimpse at the new episodes, showcasing both new cast members and characters fans already know.
Last season on Dexter: Resurrection, Uma Thurman played Charley, a skilled ex-Special Ops officer working for the wealthy and dangerous Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage). After a disagreement with Prater, she left to care for her sick mother. Now, Season 2 previews show Charley back in New York, reconnecting with Dexter – but it’s unclear what they’re talking about. Check out the first-look photos below.
Dexter’s Work Continues in Resurrection Season 2
The photos show Jack Alcott returning as Harrison Morgan. One photo features him with Nona Parker Johnson, who plays Fiona Mixon – a homicide training officer and Harrison’s new love interest. Fiona is the daughter of Captain Mixon, played by Bokeem Woodbine, a tough leader in the homicide unit. Another image also gives a glimpse of Jack Alcott in the upcoming season.
Desmond Harrington, who played a key role in the original Dexter, is back as Lieutenant Joey Quinn in the new season. He made a quick appearance in season one, but will now be a regular cast member. Also returning are James Remar as Harry Morgan, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara.
Desmon Harrington Is Back as Joey Quinn
Several more actors have been confirmed for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 beyond those seen in early promotional photos. The new season will feature Brian Cox playing The New York Ripper and Dan Stevens as The Five Borough Killer, giving Dexter fresh targets. Krysten Ritter is also set to return as Lady Vengeance, likely through flashbacks or visions considering her character’s death in Season 1.
In Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter Morgan is facing a difficult situation: he’s caught between two dangerous killers – one well-known, and another who’s unleashing unexpected terror on New York City. To make things even more complicated, he’s also dealing with a personal crisis. Meanwhile, Harrison continues to seek justice in his own way.
Clyde Phillips leads the series as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Hall, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson also serve as executive producers.
