The success of the Netflix animated series “Devil May Cry” has led to a significant increase in sales for the latest games in the series. In the first quarter of 2025 (April to June), Devil May Cry 5 was Capcom’s top-selling game, with more than 1.7 million copies sold.
The game, including both the initial release and its upgraded Special Edition, has surpassed 10.5 million units sold so far. Additionally, the Special Edition of Devil May Cry 4 saw a significant rise in sales, with approximately 450,000 copies sold during the Q1 period.
As a die-hard fan, it’s fascinating to note that during this specific timeframe, the Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition outperformed Monster Hunter Wilds in terms of sales, a game which was recently launched.
