The charming mystery series The Marlow Murder Club is back for a third season on Wednesday, March 18th. Featuring Samantha Bond, Jo Martin (known from Doctor Who), and Cara Horgan, the show follows a group of amateur detectives as they investigate a new case in the peaceful riverside town of Marlow. The series is created by Robert Thorogood, who also created Death in Paradise.
Natalie Dew returns as Detective Tanika Malik, and this time, the trio will be working with her on her cases in a more formal, official role.
The new series follows DI Tanika Malik’s crime team – which includes retired archaeologist Judith Potts, dogwalker Suzie Harris, and vicar’s wife Becks Starling – as they use their unique skills to solve a series of high-profile murders. However, the amateur detectives soon realize this case might be more personal than they expected.
What to Read Next
The team faces a challenging time as they investigate two high-profile deaths: the unexpectedly passing of Marlow’s well-loved Mayor, and the death of a famous chef during his own book launch, which was attended by many in town. The entire Marlow community will be closely following their work.
The team will also investigate a strange case at a remote manor house, one that connects to Becks’ history and could jeopardize their positions as advisors. Judith, Suzie, and Becks must rely on each other more than ever to stop the killers.

This season features guest appearances by Peter Davison, Ranjit Krishnamma, Tony Gardner, Harry Enfield, Jason Forbes, and others. Creator Bond described them all as “spectacular” and then shared what she loved most about the third season of the murder mystery.
Bond said he thought all the storylines were fantastic, and the plot twists were incredible. He especially praised the twists in ‘An Appetite for Murder’ – the third story – calling them huge and challenging anyone to predict them.
When asked about the show’s future, Bond expressed his optimism, saying he really hoped it would run for a long time. He shared that a lot of people had already seen it, mentioning that even on a small Greek island they visited, almost everyone had watched it.
The Marlow Murder Club season 3 will debut on Wednesday 18 March on U and U&Drama.
