Get ready for more ’80s drama! Disney+’s popular series Rivals is returning for its second season with three brand new episodes dropping next month, and the official trailer is here to give you a sneak peek.
After a short preview last month, a new video offers fans a better look at the ongoing competition for the Central South West TV franchise. The video description reveals that the rivalry between Corinium and Venturer is about to become even more intense and risky.
It was already announced that David Tennant would return as the clever and manipulative Tony Baddingham, picking up right after the dramatic ending of the first season. This new trailer reveals he’ll be even more focused on winning in the upcoming episodes of Rivals.

The drama really wouldn’t be complete without some familiar faces, so Alex Hassell returns as Rupert Campbell-Black, alongside Aidan Turner as Declan O’Hara and Nafessa Williams as Cameron Cook.
Of course, no story is complete without a little romance, and this new trailer for Rivals shows that Campbell-Black and Taggie O’Hara (played by Bella Maclean) are still playfully flirting with each other.

The charming connection between Freddie Jones and Lizzie Vereker will continue to develop. Freddie is clearly still captivated by Lizzie, telling her their brief touch felt like a wonderful dream.
Season two of Rivals is adding several new actors to the cast, including Hayley Atwell, who will play the former wife of Rupert Campbell-Black. Joining her are Maxim Ays (Boarders), Holly Cattle (Mr Loverman), Eliot Salt (Slow Horses), and Jonny Weldon (One Day).

Based on the popular novels by the late Jilly Cooper, the drama series Rivals launched in October 2024 and quickly became a viewer favorite. It also received critical acclaim, including an Emmy Award for Best Drama Series.
In May 2025, the show was renewed for a second season, promising to be even more expansive with 12 new episodes.
And now, we don’t have much longer to wait…
The second season of Rivals will debut on Disney+ in the UK on May 15th, starting with the first three episodes. The remaining episodes will be released later in the year.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! This special 100-page, full-color magazine celebrates the life and work of Sir David Attenborough. You can find it at newsstands or order it online.
