David Foster’s daughter Erin Foster reveals whether she’s still close with former step-siblings Gigi Hadid and Brody Jenner

42-year-old actress and author recently graced Watch What Happens Live, during which host Andy Cohen inquired about her current relationship status with Gigi Hadid (age 29) and Brody Jenner (age 41).
Erin’s father, a music executive, was previously married to Yolanda Hadid (Gigi’s mother) from 2011 to 2017. He also had a marriage with Linda Thompson (Brody’s mother) that lasted from 1991 to 2005.
After being queried about her current connection with them, Erin responded affirmatively, mentioning that Gigi had recently messaged her the previous evening, letting her know she’d begun watching her new Netflix series, “Nobody Wants This.
Erin, who had her first baby in May, remarked, ‘It’s the parents who divorce, not the children.’
Afterward, Andy asked whether she maintained contact with the ex-star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda.
‘Not as much as the kids, because the parents get divorced,’ she replied.
Initially, Erin and her sister Sara Foster harbored deep-seated resentment toward their stepbrothers Brody and Brandon Jenner (sons of Caitlyn Jenner and Linda), as they observed their father raising them while he was married to Linda. However, over time, their relationship has improved significantly.
Their mom, Rebecca Dyer, was married to David from 1982 until 1986.
He and Dyer also share a third daughter named Jordan, 37.
In a 2019 episode of their Sibling Revelry podcast, Sara, aged 43, revealed that our dad wasn’t taking care of us, but rather he was looking after Brandon and Brody instead.
Instead of wrestling with my personal emotional struggles, it was seeing my father care for other children that often left me sleepless.
‘We never lived with our dad after our parents broke up,’ Erin added.
From the tender ages of 3 to 5, I resided with my loving mother, while my father dwelled in a lavish abode valued at around twenty million dollars, sharing his life with Brandon and Brody.
In my perspective, it wasn’t so much anger towards them, but rather a feeling that we are often misjudged by the world. We may appear to lead a lavish, spoiled life on the surface, but in reality, we are seldom included in these very lifestyles we seem to embody.
However, Erin revealed that she is close with her dad’s current fifth wife, Katharine McPhee, 40.
She shared with Andy that it’s incredibly enjoyable to have a stepmother who’s around the same age as herself, explaining how great it truly is.
‘We’re the same age, we like the same things. And so it’s more like having a sister. We, just, are like friends. It’s nice.’
The composer has said ‘I do’ a total of five times.
Apart from Rebecca, Linda, Yolanda, and Katharine, it’s worth mentioning that he was previously married to B.J. Cook from 1972 to 1981 as well.
He tied the knot with Katharine in 2019, and they have since welcomed son Rennie, three.
He has a family of six kids, including his eldest daughter, Allison Jones (age 54), whom he shares with an ex-partner; the latter’s name is yet to be disclosed.
In April 1970, she was given up for adoption by a couple, yet at the age of 30, she managed to reestablish contact with her well-known biological father who had been her parent from the start.
He also shares daughter Amy, 51, with first wife B.J.
During May, Erin and her spouse, Simon Tikhman, were blessed with their first child, a girl named Noa Mimi, through a home delivery.
In the evening of December 31st, 2019, Foster and Tikhman exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding ceremony held in Nashville, Tennessee on New Year’s Eve.
