The latest season of Daredevil: Born Again has revealed the most accurate depiction yet of Bullseye’s classic costume. New images confirm that actor Wilson Bethel, who plays Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, will wear the character’s iconic hooded suit featuring the bullseye target design. This look has been a staple of Bullseye in the comics for years, but it never appeared in the previous Daredevil series on Netflix.
Season 2 will begin streaming on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, with eight new episodes. The story continues right after the events of Season 1, where Bullseye broke out of prison and is still on the loose. He’s already killed Foggy Nelson and made it very clear he’s seeking revenge against Wilson Fisk. According to the creator, this season features an even more dangerous and unpredictable version of Bullseye than we’ve seen before.
In Season 1 of Born Again, Bethel’s costume was a practical, dark blue tactical suit. It was a nod to Bullseye’s traditional blue comic book appearance, but wasn’t a direct copy. While it stayed true to the character’s origins, the costume left out Bullseye’s iconic target symbol on his forehead.

Season 2 brings a dramatic change for the character of Poindexter. New promotional images reveal he’s now wearing a sculpted mask covering the lower half of his face, complete with a tough, protective cowl. The most striking feature is a large, circular target placed right on his temple.
The costume keeps the mainly blue color scheme, but moves away from a realistic, military-style appearance towards a more classic supervillain design. This is the first time a live-action Bullseye has worn a hood that perfectly matches his comic book look.

As a huge cinema fan, I’ve been looking at these images of Bullseye from the different seasons, and it really hits you how much the character design changed. In Season 1, he was just this shadowy figure in a ski mask – totally forgettable, like any other villain. But in Season 2? The costume immediately tells you who he is. It’s a brilliant visual upgrade, making him much more iconic and memorable.

The Significance of Bullseye’s Costume in Marvel Comics
Bullseye is a famous and frightening enemy of Daredevil in Marvel Comics. He’s known for his incredible ability to throw almost anything – even ordinary objects like playing cards, pencils, or paper clips – with deadly precision, turning them into dangerous weapons.
His signature look is a black and blue bodysuit with white highlights, gloves, and boots, and is always paired with a mask featuring a bullseye. He’s worn versions of this costume since his debut in 1976, making him one of Marvel’s most iconic villains. The costume in the current series pays homage to that history, building on the blue color scheme from previous appearances while finally adding the bullseye emblem that defines the character.

The new costume isn’t just for show; it’s important to the story. In the first season of Netflix’s Daredevil and Born Again, Wilson Fisk (Dex) mostly worked secretly, either as a police officer for Kingpin or as a fugitive. But the complete Bullseye costume in Season 2 shows he’s stopped hiding and fully embraced his villainous identity, which fits with what the actor has hinted about the character’s future.
Where Bullseye Stands Heading Into Season 2
Okay, so in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, things get really intense with Dex. Vanessa Fisk hires him to take out Foggy Nelson, which leads to Dex getting a life sentence… but he breaks out! He’s consumed with getting revenge on the Fisks, and actually tries to kill Wilson Fisk with a sniper rifle. Luckily, Matt Murdock jumps in front of the bullet to save Fisk. Even though the Anti-Vigilante Task Force is after him, Dex manages to stay free. It’s pretty clear he’s not done yet, and will definitely be looking for another chance to attack.
The second season is set in New York City, which is now under strict military control. Wilson Fisk, having become mayor, has openly tasked a special force with capturing Daredevil. Matt Murdock fights back from the shadows, building a team that includes Jessica Jones, marking her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after appearing in her own Netflix series in 2019. Several familiar faces also return, including Karen Page, Heather Glenn, Vanessa Fisk, Daniel Blake, and Mr. Charles, who serves as a key opponent to Fisk. Even Foggy Nelson, who died at the start of Season 1, will appear through flashbacks.
It’s still unclear what role Bullseye will play in the upcoming conflict. The Season 2 trailer shows him injured on the floor with Daredevil reaching out to help, suggesting their relationship might be changing. It’s unknown if this means they’ll form an uneasy partnership or if something else is going on.
