Daredevil: Born Again Season 2: All 20 MCU Characters Confirmed to Appear, Ranked By Strength Level

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again features a diverse cast of characters. Some gain power through wealth and connections in New York City, while others have actual superpowers. This mix of ordinary and extraordinary individuals creates a complicated power dynamic. Here’s a ranking of all the confirmed characters, from least to most powerful, based on their abilities and how much influence they have.

The first season of Daredevil: Born Again premiered in March 2025, bringing renewed enthusiasm for Charlie Cox as Daredevil and the gritty, down-to-earth style of Marvel storytelling. Fans are particularly excited that new seasons are planned to release annually, maintaining strong interest and keeping the story front and center.

The upcoming season will center on Matt Murdock as he goes into hiding. Meanwhile, Mayor Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, is consolidating his power in New York City and going after those who oppose him.

Though we haven’t seen much yet, the return of familiar faces and the exciting addition of Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter) are building a lot of excitement. Daredevil is also assembling a powerful team, which is shifting the balance of power in the upcoming series.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Characters Ranked By Strength Level

20. Foggy Nelson

Foggy Nelson ranks last on our list, which is sadly fitting considering he was killed by Bullseye at the start of Season 1 and won’t be returning. Though fans initially hoped he might have survived into Season 2, it now seems he’ll only appear in past memories.

The upcoming scenes will probably delve into Matt’s sadness and the heavy emotions he’s experiencing after losing his best friend. However, when considering the current power dynamics, Foggy is automatically at the bottom since he has passed away.

19. Josie

Though Josie (Susan Varon) isn’t physically strong or a fighter, she’s still a valuable friend to Matt. She provides him with a safe place and a listening ear in Hell’s Kitchen.

18. Heather Glenn

Now that Heather (Margarita Levieva) has agreed to work for Fisk as his Commissioner of Mental Health, she has a position of power within his organization. Although she isn’t physically strong or a fighter, being close to Fisk and having access to city resources gives her a surprising amount of behind-the-scenes influence.

17. Sheila Rivera

Sheila, who manages Fisk’s campaign and plans his political moves, gets things done through careful presentation, persuasive communication, and her network of contacts, not by using power or intimidation.

16. Kirsten McDuffie

Kirsten (played by Nikki M. James) is a powerful lawyer at Murdock & McDuffie, and that’s where she gets her confidence. However, it looks like Matt is starting to disregard her legal expertise again as the second season begins.

As Matt becomes more consumed by his work as Daredevil, Season 2 could see her taking on greater responsibility and leadership at the law firm.

15. BB Urich

BB, played by Genneya Walton, uses her skills as a journalist to investigate and expose Kingpin’s expanding power, making the press a key force against him.

Despite not being physically strong, her investigative reporting has the power to change what people think in the upcoming season and could expose even the most powerful and seemingly safe people in the city.

14. Karen Page

Following Foggy’s death, Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) was largely absent for much of the first season. However, she’s expected to become Matt’s primary partner in the upcoming second season.

Although she doesn’t have any special powers, her experience as an investigator, reporter, and lawyer makes her a powerful force in uncovering wrongdoing, and she’s likely to play a major role in the next season.

13. Daniel Blake

In the second season, Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini) seems to move from working as a political assistant to becoming directly involved in Fisk’s criminal activities.

On-set pictures show Daniel covered in blood and acting erratically, indicating he’s becoming more directly involved in the action. As Kingpin draws him closer, Daniel is gaining power and a willingness to use force.

12. Cherry

Cherry, played by Clark Johnson, is a reliable and skilled friend to Matt, much like Brett Mahoney (Royce Johnson). Both characters represent a strong moral compass within the police force.

Despite lacking any special powers, he supports Daredevil with his experience, understanding of the streets, and calm leadership. The injuries he sustained in Season 2 hint that his loyalty might make him a target.

11. Brett Mahoney

As a big fan of the original Daredevil on Netflix, I was so excited to see Brett Mahoney back in Daredevil: Born Again! It’s more than just a fun throwback – he really connects the new series to what made the original show so special.

A veteran NYPD detective, he acts as a link between the police and Matt’s independent crime-fighting, which could significantly change the direction of the story.

10. Buck Cashman

Buck Cashman, played by Arty Froushan, is a highly dangerous member of Fisk’s team. He doesn’t have any special powers, but he’s a skilled shooter and isn’t afraid to kill, making him a serious opponent.

9. Swordsman

Tony Dalton is reprising his role as Jacques Duquesne, also known as the Swordsman, and will once again be showcasing his fighting abilities in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again.

Duquesne is a crime fighter who’s gotten on Wilson Fisk’s radar – and made him angry. The showrunner has hinted at exciting action as the Swordsman breaks free and teams up with Daredevil to take back their city.

8. Marge McCaffrey

Lili Taylor will appear in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again as Governor Marge McCaffrey, a character who will likely be a significant power player in the show.

Marge is stepping up as a political opponent to Mayor Fisk, vowing to fight his control over New York City. While the details of her plans are still unknown, her appearances with Fisk and Vanessa at important events suggest she’ll be a major force in the city’s changing political landscape.

7. Mr. Charles

Matthew Lillard, known for his roles in Scream and Scooby-Doo, joins Season 2 as Mr. Charles, a mysterious and disturbing villain. What’s different about his character is that his story will happen completely apart from the main plot involving Daredevil, making him a threatening figure who never actually faces off against the hero directly.

6. Vanessa Fisk

Ayelet Zurer returns as Vanessa Fisk in Season 2, after nearly not appearing in the first season of the show’s revival. Vanessa continues to be a powerful and strategic character, and in Season 1, she was responsible for dangerous plans, including one that targeted Foggy.

5. Angela del Toro

In Season 2, Angela del Toro (played by Camila Rodriguez) is set to become the new White Tiger. After her uncle, Hector Ayala, passed away in Season 1, Angela inherited his powerful Jade Tiger amulets.

On-set pictures from Season 2 show Rodriguez in costume and taking action, suggesting her character, Angela, is prepared to fully embrace her destiny as New York’s next White Tiger. In the Marvel comics, the White Tiger is a highly skilled martial artist with extensive training from the FBI in combat and investigation, as well as expert sword-fighting abilities.

4. Kingpin

As Season 2 of Born Again begins, Wilson Fisk – also known as Kingpin – stands as the most powerful and cunning criminal operating at street level in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, combining brute force with a cold, calculating nature.

Wow, Season 1 ended on such a dark note! Fisk really cemented his control over the city. After Bullseye tried to take him out, he didn’t just survive, he doubled down. He sent that terrifying Buck after Daredevil, and then… he actually killed Commissioner Gallo with his bare hands! It was brutal. And then, to top it all off, he implemented the Safer Streets Initiative, which basically meant martial law – a curfew and a total crackdown on anyone trying to fight crime outside the system. He really took control, and it was scary to watch.

Throughout everything that happened, Fisk proved he was incredibly intelligent and a master strategist, skillfully controlling powerful people in the city – from the wealthy upper class to both the police and the criminal underworld. He’s also exceptionally strong and physically imposing, allowing him to defeat even skilled fighters, making him a major force in the MCU despite not having any superpowers.

3. Bullseye

Dex Poindexter, played by Wilson Bethel, made it through the first season, even though several people tried to kill him – including a fall from a rooftop caused by Daredevil in the very first episode.

Honestly, by the end of the first season, it was clear Daredevil hadn’t lost a step. He was already going after Wilson Fisk and Vanessa, and his skills with throwing stuff, shooting, and just making weapons out of whatever’s around him were exactly like they were in the old Netflix show. It was really cool to see he still had it all!

Season 2 will likely see Bullseye causing more trouble in New York City, and he might even encounter Daredevil again – they could even end up working together.

2. Daredevil

While not the strongest hero, Daredevil is set to be a major force in Season 2, thanks to his incredible skills and heightened senses. Matt Murdock’s abilities – like super hearing, smell, taste, touch, and a sonar-like sense of direction – make him incredibly aware of everything around him. He can even detect a person’s heartbeat and tell if they’re being dishonest.

Daredevil’s incredible reflexes, speed, and acrobatic skills let him avoid bullets, leap across rooftops, and fight several enemies at once. Though some heroes might be more powerful, Daredevil’s combined senses and fighting ability make him one of the best heroes in the New York area of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

1. Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, lending her considerable strength to assist Matt Murdock in his fight against Wilson Fisk.

Thanks to artificial enhancements, she possesses incredible strength, speed, and resilience. She can easily lift cars, break through walls with a single punch, and jump across rooftops.

Beyond her athletic abilities, Jessica is a skilled investigator and excels at stealth, qualities fans would be excited to see her use when she returns.
