Ever since the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again aired on March 24th, viewers have been wondering if Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones would appear. Trailers hinted at her involvement, and her name was mentioned in the show, keeping fans hopeful each week. After five episodes, the wait is finally over.
The official Daredevil social media accounts just revealed a new image for the upcoming Episode 6, “Requiem,” confirming a long-awaited appearance: Jessica Jones will be joining the series on Tuesday, April 21st, when the episode becomes available on Disney+ at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

A new promotional image brings together the main characters from the season. It shows Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, looking out a window while wearing a white suit. Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones is pictured leaning against crates, sporting her classic leather jacket. Across from them are Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in his Daredevil mask and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.

As a huge fan, I was thrilled to see Krysten Ritter back as Jessica Jones! It’s been almost seven years since we last saw her in live-action, with the final season of her Netflix show wrapping up in 2019. This really feels like a proper continuation of her story. Remember that last scene? She was heading to El Paso, ready for a fresh start, but then… that creepy whisper from Kilgrave, David Tennant’s character, pulled her right back in. It was a perfect setup for what comes next!
The latest trailer for the mid-season reveals Jessica will be in Episode 6 and hints that the voices in her head are still bothering her. The clip shows her walking through a church as voices from her past – including the villain Kilgrave – echo around her, taunting and insulting her.
As a huge fan of the original, I’m thrilled to hear that Born Again is continuing Jessica’s story! It’s going to be fascinating to see what she’s been doing since we last saw her. Apparently, a lot has happened – they’ve already let slip that she’s now a mother, which is a huge development for such a cynical private investigator!
What Jessica Jones’ Return Means for Daredevil: Born Again and the MCU

With Jessica Jones now involved in Matt Murdock’s conflict in Born Again Season 2, the stakes are about to get much higher. Matt already has a team including Karen, White Tiger, and the unpredictable Bullseye, and Jessica will be a valuable asset. She’s incredibly powerful, a skilled investigator, and, importantly, she shares Matt’s hatred for people like Fisk who exploit and harm others.
Her arrival couldn’t be better timed. With Fisk grieving his wife, Vanessa, and his task force now operating without restrictions, Matt and Bullseye are facing more public scrutiny than ever. They need help to survive the escalating conflict, and this new, skilled investigator is exactly what they need. She understands the threat Fisk poses – not just to the city, but to her and her family – making her a vital addition to the fight.
The surprising reveal that Jessica has a daughter opens up exciting possibilities for the future of the show. Fans are speculating the daughter could be Danielle Cage, which would likely lead to an appearance by Luke Cage. Adding to the buzz, Mike Colter has been seen filming season 3 of Born Again alongside Finn Jones (Iron Fist), hinting at a potential Defenders reunion. Jessica Jones appears to be central to these developing plans.
