Daemons of the Shadow Realm Releases Official English Dub After 2 Week Delay

Hiromu Arakawa, the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist, had a slight setback with their new anime, but English dubs are now being released weekly on Crunchyroll. All seven episodes are currently available to stream in most countries.

Episode 5 of the English dub for Daemons of the Shadow Realm, titled “Hare and Tortoise,” is now available on Crunchyroll as of May 16th. While fans can still watch the anime, it’s no longer being released with the simuldub format, as announced on X (formerly Twitter).

As previously announced by Crunchyroll, the English dub for the first four episodes launched on May 16th as planned. New dubbed episodes will be released weekly, starting two weeks after the original Japanese release. Since its worldwide premiere on April 4th, Daemons of the Shadow Realm has released a total of seven episodes.

The newest episode of Daemons of the Shadow Realm continues to unravel the secrets of the Daemons that are appearing around siblings Yuru and Asa. Ben Stegmair, known for his roles as Iharu Furuhashi in Kaiju No. 8 and Tsav in the upcoming Sentenced to Be a Hero, voices Yuru. Molly Zhang, who previously played Lady Gyokuyo in The Apothecary Diaries and Emul in Shangri-La Frontier, voices Asa.

The English dub of Daemons of the Shadow Realm also features voice actors Colleen Clinkenbeard as Left, Jerry Jewell as Jin Kagemori, Wendy Powell as Yamaha, Jarrod Greene as Dera, and Tia Ballard as Bunbun.

Many fans will recognize Jewell as the voice of Barry the Chopper from Fullmetal Alchemist, and more recently, as Tenya Iida in My Hero Academia. Powell also lends his voice to Envy in Fullmetal Alchemist and Master Gunter in Fairy Tail. Ballard is well-known for voicing Happy in Fairy Tail and Zero Two in Darling in the Franxx, alongside numerous other roles.

Crunchyroll’s Spring 2026 anime season will feature exciting new episodes and series, including the Elbaph Arc from One Piece, the very first showing of Witch Hat Atelier, and the energetic romantic comedy Marriagetoxin. With the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series now complete, fans can also anticipate Episode 8 of Daemons of the Shadow Realm and its new English dub, both arriving on Saturday, May 23.
