Daddy-Daughter Reviews: The Bad Batch Trailers
As a seasoned gamer and a proud father, I can confidently say that revisiting Star Wars: The Bad Batch with my daughter has been an unparalleled joy. It’s like stepping into a galaxy far, far away, but this time, I get to share it with the next generation.
When autumn arrives and nights grow longer, many people look for entertaining series or movies to spend their evenings indoors instead of facing the cold. However, as a parent, it can be challenging to find suitable shows to enjoy together with my child.
Searching for the right series to share, I have chosen to rewatch Star Wars: The Bad Batch and, for my daughter, Brooklyn, introduce her to the world of the show. I think it is an excellent show to choose that highlights not only great male characters but a heroic younger character she can emulate through Omega. I thought it is perfect time for her and I to watch the show together. We will be reviewing it together. I am curious what her reviews will be.
My Young Daughter’s First Reactions to The Bad Batch
My wife and I have caught a few episodes of “The Bad Batch” with Brooklyn. At the moment, she seems particularly fond of the scenes featuring Omega.
First, I decided to play the trailers for all three seasons to gauge her interest. Her curiosity peaked, and she asked some questions. To begin with, Brooklyn inquired whether the Batch were good or bad clones. Subsequently, she wondered if Omega would be alright. I believe she’ll find answers to both queries as she delves deeper into the series.
Upon revisiting the trailers, a specific episode from the series’ first run stood out to me – Season 2’s “Tribe.” Introducing Gungi, a young Jedi from the Clone Wars saga, was a smart move for the show. The closing scene, where Gungi and Omega pray at a tree while the elder Wookiee and Hunter look on with sorrow over their world, resonates deeply with any parent today, mirroring our concerns about the world our children inhabit.
I have gotten Brooklyn into the Ninja Turtles and the WNBA. She likes elements of the Star Wars franchise, and I hope that as we review the series, we can add The Bad Batch to things we can share and enjoy. It will be fun and exciting for both of us, especially for me, as I see the series through her eyes.
