If you thought crypto was just a bunch of nerds in hoodies, think again. Anchorage, which is basically a government-approved crypto bunker (because regulation is the new black), bought SFA and now they’re basically the shiny new power couple in wealth management. ✨
And get this: Anchorage already holds 99% of SFA’s assets. They’re like that over-achieving sibling who already has the keys to the mansion.
“RIAs are driving one of the most important waves of crypto adoption,” said Nathan McCauley, probably flexing his crypto muscles. With Anchorage’s secure vault and SFA’s tech magic, they’re making wealth managers look pretty awesome. No big deal.
This move officially makes Anchorage the Swiss Army knife of wealth management: trading, custody, client tools-you name it. Meanwhile, Securitize is going to focus on tokenization-because turning assets into digital tokens is apparently the future of everything, including your cherished Beanie Babies.
CEO Carlos Domingo loves the idea, claiming it lets Securitize double down on its core obsession: turning real stuff into digital shiny objects we can all brag about online.
Oh, and did we mention? This is Anchorage’s second big buy in 2025, after snagging a stablecoin issuer called Mountain Protocol in May. Because what’s a year without making crypto bigger than your neighbor’s yard sale?
SFA, launched in 2021, has been boosting digital asset exposure for RIAs like crazy – over 4,500% growth in a year. That’s like, if your grocery bill grew 45 times faster than the industry average. No big deal.
