So, the grand masters of the digital gold rush, Binance and Coinbase – those pillars of modern finance 🙄 – have suddenly decided to bless this… Brevis thing with their presence. A new altcoin, you say? Launched just now, probably cooked up in someone’s basement, and already deemed worthy by the high priests of crypto. Of course.
Coinbase, ever the eager student, chirped on their X account – that modern-day town crier – that they’re now enabling trading of this “BREV.” As if simply allowing trade imbues this token with inherent value. Honestly.
And Binance, the behemoth, the titan… they too have condescended to list it. One wonders if a coin flip decided this. Volume, they say? Bah! It’s all about the latest shiny object, isn’t it? 💰
BREV, they tell us, is for “staking, proof payments, and decentralized governance.” Sounds… important. Like a particularly complicated game of marbles. They claim it uses these “zero-knowledge proofs” – a fancy way of saying “pretend you understand what’s happening.”
Their website babbles on about “smart ZK coprocessors” and “trustless computation.” Sounds sophisticated, doesn’t it? It’s practically guaranteeing fortunes to those who understand… absolutely nothing.
“Brevis is a smart ZK coprocessor…” they proclaim. Oh, the poetry! It can “read states, transactions, and events” from Ethereum and other chains. It can “decode” them. It can even “run customizable computations.” It’s like the Swiss Army knife of blockchain, only nobody knows what problem it’s actually solving.
They’ve managed to scrape together $7.5 million from venture capital firms – those ever-optimistic vultures – including Binance Labs (now YZi Labs, because rebranding is always the answer 🤪) and Polychain Capital. Money thrown into the void. Probably being used to buy more yachts.
This “Brevis” sits at a modest 418th place in the crypto hierarchy, clutching a market cap of $110.1 million. A rounding error in the grand scheme of things, but enough to make someone, somewhere, very, very happy. 🎉
And as of this very moment, one BREV can be had for a mere $0.44. Go on, throw your life savings at it. What could possibly go wrong? 🤷
