Cruz Beckham extends an olive branch again to his estranged brother Brooklyn as he shares throwback snap after mum Victoria addressed family’s ‘challenging’ year

After Victoria Beckham spoke about a difficult year for the family, her son Cruz tried to reconnect with his brother Brooklyn on social media.

The 21-year-old singer seemed to be extending an offer of peace to his older brother by posting a heartwarming childhood photo of them with another sibling. The picture featured Brooklyn, 27, and Romeo, 23, from when they were younger.

In January, Brooklyn publicly announced on social media that he was ending his relationship with his family. He stated he doesn’t intend to repair things with his parents and claims they’ve controlled him throughout his life.

Despite being blocked by Brooklyn, Cruz posted a photo on Instagram of himself and his two brothers, all wearing the same white shirts.

David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest son has recently attempted to reconnect with his older brother, even sending him a birthday message saying ‘I love you’ on Instagram.

While last month, Cruz became emotional on stage as he sang Loneliest Boy.

Many people think the song is about a brother or sister he’s no longer close to, pointing to lines like ‘Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, it’s breaking her heart.’

During the performance, a concert attendee told The Mirror that the singer became visibly emotional. A bandmate comforted him by putting an arm around his shoulder and gently messing up his hair.

Earlier this week, Victoria addressed her ‘challenging’ past year amid the family feud.

During an interview on the Today show with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, Victoria, 52, spoke about a difficult period for her family. While she didn’t mention her son, 27, by name, she stated she will always prioritize protecting her children.

I was really struck by a question Jenna asked her during the interview. After acknowledging everything she’d been through publicly – we’ve definitely discussed it on the show – Jenna simply asked how she manages to cope when things get really difficult. It felt so direct and honest, and I was immediately curious to hear her answer.

She replied: ‘You know, myself and David, we’re so close and we have incredible people around us.

We have a close relationship with both my parents and David’s parents, and we’re always there for each other, supporting each other through life’s challenges and achievements.

We adore our children and have always prioritized their well-being. But we’re also a very playful family – David Beckham is genuinely hilarious.

In a recent interview, Victoria shared that she and her husband support each other through difficult periods in their lives.

We always have each other’s backs and have become stronger as a result. I’m incredibly grateful for that bond.

We’ve become a strong team, always encouraging each other to pursue our goals. We both have high ambitions and genuinely want to see the other succeed and become the best they can be.

David and Victoria Beckham haven’t had contact with their son Brooklyn since May of last year. This followed Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, choosing not to attend David’s 50th birthday party.

Brooklyn and Nicola’s attorneys sent a letter to the Beckhams’ lawyers, requesting that all future communication go through them directly.

Just before Christmas, Brooklyn cut off contact with his parents on Instagram. Then, in January, he publicly shared a harsh, six-page letter on the platform, causing a stir.

He said David and Victoria Beckham exerted a lot of control over him throughout his life, attempted to drive a wedge between him and his wife, Nicola, and caused him humiliation when his mother danced suggestively with him during his wedding’s first dance.
