As someone who’s followed a lot of up-and-coming artists, I’ve learned that having a strong support system is everything. And for Cruz Beckham, that support comes in the form of his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel – who he affectionately calls ‘Boss Spice’! He recently shared that she’s the real driving force behind his band’s success, and honestly, it’s so lovely to see someone so openly credit their partner with helping them achieve their dreams. It just goes to show, a little encouragement (and maybe a lot of behind-the-scenes work!) can make all the difference.
The 21-year-old singer launched his UK tour with a successful show in Birmingham on Wednesday, marking a significant step in his growing music career.
Performing with his band, The Breakers, David and Victoria Beckham’s son played songs from his album, Lick The Toad, at Mama Roux’s venue.
His girlfriend, Jackie, age 30, watched from the side, wearing a baseball cap – the same style worn by Cruz Beckham and The Breakers – and a white tank top.
And now he has told how Jackie is the woman behind his success.
He shared a photo of her with a heartfelt message: ‘I don’t think people realize how much Jackie does for us.’
For the past several years, Jackie has been the glue holding the band and its team together, consistently ensuring everything runs smoothly. We wouldn’t be where we are today without her dedication.
I just want to give a shout-out to the fifth member of the Breakers! She’s the heart and soul of the band, and works incredibly hard to make sure all of our content is top-quality.
Jackie, we are so incredibly grateful for everything you do, and we want you to know how much we appreciate you – it’s more than words can say.
This tour marks a significant achievement for Cruz, building on the success of his single, ‘For Your Love,’ and leading to his now sold-out performances.
He played guitar while sporting a fun, unique look – a red shirt and striped tie.
Before the show, Cruz posted photos on his Instagram Story that included a sweet tribute to his mother, Victoria, featuring their in-ear monitors.
Showing off the monitors, Cruz had given each of his bandmates Spice Girls-themed nicknames.
Monikers included, Smokey Spice, Stoney Spice, Coffee Spice and, Hairy Spice.
Romeo Beckham shared a peek at the setup for his upcoming performance on Instagram on Monday.
In a photo, Ted Cruz wore a leather jacket while standing with two men wearing T-shirts that said ‘Crews Beckham’.
He also wore a baseball cap that featured the name of his band, Cruz Beckham and The Breakers.
He wrote: ‘See you soon Birmingham’.
Jackie also revealed the merchandise he’s selling on tour, including a hoodie with all of his concert dates printed on the back.
The couple have been together since 2024, after they were first spotted together at Glastonbury.
Earlier this month, Cruz released the music video for his new single For Your Love.
The music video, clearly influenced by The Stone Roses, is a heartfelt tribute to his family. It includes a mention of his brother Romeo, was filmed at his father David’s beloved pie and mash shop, and even features a brief appearance by his grandfather, Tony Adams.
“For Your Love” is Cruz’s newest release, following his first single, “Optics,” which came out last October with the song “Lick The Toad.” These tracks marked the start of his music career.
The video shows Cruz performing with his band, The Breakers – which includes Dan Ewins, Telmo Seixas, and Dario Scotti. It also includes a special appearance by his grandfather, Tony, who is Victoria’s mother.
The video features Tony appearing on a vintage television, where he introduces the band before their debut performance of the song on TV.
Early in the scene, a harsh music executive mistakenly calls Cruz ‘Romeo,’ a playful reference to his family name.
I was so thrilled when Cruz announced he’d be doing his own headline show with The Breakers! It was at The Courtyard Theatre in London on March 27th, and honestly, tickets sold out almost instantly – it was crazy! I managed to snag one, thankfully.
Following the announcement, he embarked on a UK and EU tour, starting in Birmingham on February 25th. He then performed in cities like Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Southampton, Brighton, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin, finishing with three shows at The Courtyard Theatre in London.
