BUG FILMS, the studio behind the popular fantasy series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, is now working on a new project. According to Crunchyroll, the story follows Coco, a young girl who longs to become a witch in a world where witches must keep their magic hidden from everyone else, even while doing everyday tasks.

Coco’s life changes when a young witch named Qifrey comes to her village, revealing a hidden truth and taking Coco on as her apprentice. The anime series premieres on April 6th.

The anime series The Drops of God is unusual in that it centers around the world of wine collecting. The story begins after the death of famous wine critic Toyotaka Kanzaki, who leaves his valuable wine collection to whoever can identify 12 of his favorite wines – and ultimately, the legendary ‘Drops of God’ wine itself – as detailed in his will.

The competitors are Toyotaka’s son, Shizuku Kanzaki, and Issei Tomine, a young critic who was raised by Toyotaka. The series is being created by Satelight, the studio behind popular anime like Shugo Chara!.

Created by BONES Film, Daemons of the Shadow Realm is based on the manga series of the same name by Hiromu Arakawa, the author of Fullmetal Alchemist. According to Crunchyroll, the story takes place in a world where people control powerful supernatural partners called Daemons. Twins Yuru and Asa, known as ‘the child who sunder day and night,’ are destined to rule over them.

A brother and sister, separated as children and kept in the dark about their origins, must reunite, reclaim what’s rightfully theirs, and ultimately save the world. The new series will begin airing on April 4th.

The upcoming installment will adapt the sixth major story arc from Tappei Nagatsuki and Shinichiro Otsuka’s light novel series. Following the events of the Priestella battle, Subaru Natsuki, Emilia, and their allies must journey across a large desert in search of the Pleiades Watchtower, hoping to find information that could help them defeat the Archbishops of Sin.

Tickets for “Crunchyroll Anime Nights Sneak Peek” are on sale now.
